Undergraduate Honors Thesis Presentations 🎓

Our students did an outstanding job presenting year-long research projects and explaining complex mathematical concepts in just 15 minutes. Congratulations to all of our seniors on their hard work and achievements!

We also congratulate Jack Xie, recipient of the 2025–2026 John Y. Phillips Prize, awarded each year to one or two outstanding seniors in the Department of Mathematics. 🏅

AWM Celebration & Elections. Our last AWM event of the semester will be an End-of-Year Celebration with exec elections on Monday, April 20 at 5pm in Manchester 120. If you are interested in running for exec, please sign up. With most of the exec graduating, there are plenty of open positions! All students are welcome to run. There will also be free food at this event.

⚡️ Faculty Lighting Talks - every year professors give quick presentations on their research and explain how to get involved in research opportunities.

Thank you to all faculty who presented and students in attendance! This year the topics included applied mathematics, topological data analysis, arithmetic geometry, dynamical systems and ergodic theory, and algebraic geometry.
