¿Estás planeando el menú de la semana? Ven a comer con tu familia y comparte tiempo con la comunidad de Speas en Bobo’s Deli & Grill este jueves 6 de agosto. Cada compra beneficia a la asociación de padres y maestros (PTA) de Speas Global.

What is a Room Parent?

Room parents work to 1) identify the needs of the class through communication with the teacher, and 2) coordinate filling those needs with parents who volunteer to help. Examples could include helping to coordinate classroom celebrations, field trips, and “teacher appreciation” opportunities. Room parents can also do things outside of the classroom to foster community, such as organizing play dates at a park for students, ensuring parents can connect with one another, etc.

Generally, the job requires as much effort as you are willing to put into it. Teachers are so appreciative of your support, no matter what amount of effort you expend. Please note that room parents are not expected to do everything alone, but rather to engage other interested parents and coordinate efforts.

¿Qué es un padre asistente de la clase?

Los padres asistente de la clase trabajan para 1) identificar las necesidades de la clase a través de la comunicación con el maestro y 2) coordinar la satisfacción de esas necesidades con los padres que se ofrecen como voluntarios para ayudar.
