One of the most powerful shifts in professional learning happens when we stop viewing growth as something done TO teachers and start seeing it as something experienced WITH teachers.
In Follow Me Forward, we write:
“This approach makes it clear that everyone is learning together, and the joy springs from the process, not just the outcomes.” (p. 24)
When educators engage in authentic learning loops, reflection, observation, and collaboration, the focus moves beyond compliance and checklists. It becomes about curiosity, growth, and collective efficacy.

We are excited to share that we will be presenting at the Learning Forward 2026 Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas!
Our session, “Leading Learning from the Inside Out,” explores how sustainable professional learning begins with the people closest to the work. We’ll share how the Follow Me Forward model empowers educators through collaborative learning loops, job-embedded support, and authentic classroom-based professional learning.

Jennifer served as one of our very first Host Teachers during the early action research phase of Follow Me Forward. She opened her classroom, shared her practice, reflected on her learning, and welcomed colleagues into the authentic work happening with students every day.

Values. Beliefs. Actions.
When you walk into Chick-fil-A, the actions immediately tell you something about the company's beliefs. A simple phrase like "My pleasure" reflects a commitment to service and hospitality.
We believe schools should work the same way.
The actions we see every day—in classrooms, hallways, meetings, and learning experiences—should reflect the values and beliefs of the school community.
When values, beliefs, and actions are aligned, culture becomes visible.

One of the highlights of our first Follow Me Forward Facilitator Training was hearing from Taylore Williams, who joined us to share her journey as a *Host Teacher*.
As Taylore reflected on her experience, several themes emerged:
*Increased self-efficacy and confidence in her practice
*A deep appreciation for the reflective process
*A transformed mindset about what meaningful professional learning should look like
*Giving herself permission to teach students vs deliver curriculum
*Witnessing ALL students can learn in meaningful ways
Taylore is not finished growing. She will enter Year 3 of her Follow Me Forward learning loop this coming school year.
