Community Champions!
This week, we are proud to recognize GreeNest of Winston-Salem as our Community Champion for its incredible commitment to helping families create homes filled with dignity, comfort, and hope.
A safe, stable home provides the foundation every family needs to succeed. That is why we are grateful for our partnership with greeNest, a local nonprofit that helps individuals and families transitioning into sustainable housing furnish their homes with donated furniture and household essentials.
Through the generosity of community donors and dedicated volunteers, greeNest carefully prepares and stages donated items in a welcoming showroom. Families, accompanied by caseworkers from partner agencies, are empowered to personally select the furnishings that best meet their needs and reflect their preferences, restoring dignity and fostering a sense of ownership.
Recently, one of our Parents as Teachers (PAT) families had the opportunity to visit greeNest with the support of their Imprints Cares family educator, Debbie. Together, they selected furniture that best fit their family's needs, including two twin beds so each of their children could have a bed of their own. This experience gave the family more than household furnishings, it provided comfort, stability, and the opportunity to create a home where their children can feel secure and flourish.
At Imprints Cares, we know that when families have a safe, welcoming place to call home, children are better positioned to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. We are grateful for partners like greeNest who make that possible.
