The final issue of PAX Press for the 2025-26 school year is out! Check out what our students have been up to as they close out the year and prepare to return home. There are several articles featuring Southeast students, check these out!

- Roxanne, one of our coordinators in GA wrote about a unique volunteer activity several of her students took part in.

President Nicușor Dan of Romania recently shared the exciting news that there is overwhelming interest from Romanian high school students to with the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program, through which they would live with an American family and attend a local high school. This unique educational experience helps build a stronger, more connected world.

Over 2,800 students have applied for 20 finalist spots. President Dan acknowledged the significance of Romanian youths’ interest in participating in programs like FLEX, posting: “Each application is proof of confidence that education offers the best prospects for building a future.” Good luck to all applicants!

FLEX Romania is a program of Exchange Programs - U.S. Department of State in partnership with the Ministerul Educației - România, administered by American Councils for International Education.

The December Issue of PAX Press is out! There are a lot of great articles as always, but want to point out a few that feature our very own Southeast students!

First, a HUGE congratulations to Eylul from Turkey, placed in NC, for being recognized as PAX's YES Student of the Month! There is a great article about her recognition in this month's issue!

What an amazing experience!

West Virginia PAX student Alexandra from Romania had the opportunity to share a piece of her Romanian holiday culture with us 💙 Last week she performed in her school choir concert at Jefferson High School, singing a beautiful Romanian Christmas carol. The chorus is called “Legănelul lui Iisus” in Romanian, which translates to “The Lullaby of Jesus.” Thank you, Alexandra, for sharing this special moment, your language, and a little piece of home with us 🎶✨
