Need a fun INDOOR activity in the midst of all of the rain this weekend?

Our students LOVE racing cars on the “tracks” when the weather doesn’t permit outdoor play... although we highly encourage puddle jumping and dancing in the rain!

Materials Needed:
Race Cars
Painters tape
Pro tip: empty toilet paper rolls make great “tunnels” for added fun!

What a fun family night at the Spring Family Festival at Dash Stadium! ⚾️🎆

Our Ivybrook Academy families cheered on one of our very own Ivybrook Academy students as she threw out the first pitch! Our crew made some special memories watching the fireworks and running the bases to end the night!

Up until this point, you've been your child’s only teacher.

You've guided their first steps, cheered for their first words, and patiently answered their endless questions. Sharing that role for the very first time is a significant moment for both you and your child.

Our classrooms are designed to be a natural extension of the warmth and security of home, giving children the space to explore the world with independence and confidence while giving parents the peace of mind that comes from knowing their child is truly seen.

Throughout the school year, our students explored a variety of artistic styles, techniques, and creative experiences that were proudly showcased at this year’s Art Show 🎨✨

From the iconic swirls of “Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh to the expressive movement and emotion behind the work of Jackson Po***ck, students were encouraged to think creatively and express themselves boldly. They also explored abstract art inspired by “Composition VIII” by Wassily Kandinsky and experimented with watercolor techniques and color mixing through hands-on learning.

Our toddlers, younger twos, and older twos explored planets and our place on Earth through developmentally appropriate art experiences 🌎🪐 One highlight of the show was a collaborative art piece that brought our student community together.

We are so proud of the creativity and joy displayed through their artwork this year!

The summer slide is real, and it starts earlier than most parents expect.

Research shows that children can lose up to two months of learning over the summer without continued engagement.

We keep young minds active and curious all summer long through hands-on projects, themed weekly sessions, and the same blended Montessori and Reggio Emilia approach that families trust during the school year.

Learning doesn't have to stop when the school year does!

Spring is the perfect time for exploring life cycles 🌱🐣🦋

Recently, our Pre-K students learned about the life cycle of a chicken through hands-on activities, discussions, and interactive learning experiences that helped bring the process to life. Watching the chicks hatch right in the classroom helped solidify everything students had been learning and created an exciting, memorable connection to the life cycle process.

Throughout the spring, students explore and compare different life cycles (plants and butterflies to chickens and more) helping them better understand growth, change, and the natural world around them!

At Ivybrook, we focus on the process AND the final product. The true learning happens in the messy, joyful moments of discovery.
