The Winston Salem Suzuki School advanced students performed their Renaissance repertoire at the Redeemer School Shakespeare Festival this spring. Providing frequent “real" reasons to perform goes a long way in developing our students' musical artistry.

Modeling the way children naturally learn to speak their own native language, parents play at home a listening resource of music the child is learning. This “mother tongue” method of learning is similar to language immersion.

Why choose Suzuki Guitar?
In Suzuki Guitar, the student, teacher and parent are involved in a disciplined—yet enjoyable—cooperative effort that represents a wonderful investment in the child’s future.
It's true, Suzuki students learn to play their instruments well and develop a lifelong appreciation of music ... but the primary goal of the Suzuki Method is to develop the whole child in the context of a healthy parent-child relationship.
Suzuki students also develop valuable concentration skills, artistic sensitivity, poise and self-confidence, discipline, social skills, and a strong sense of self-worth.

One monkey for every repetition of a particularly hard spot in a new song!
This is more than just a trick to get through a new song. Through intentional, thoughtful lessons, Suzuki students develop concentration skills, artistic sensitivity, poise and self-confidence, discipline, social skills, and a strong sense of self-worth. These experiences of success transfer into many other areas of the child's life!
