📚 Medical School: UT Houston McGovern Medical School
🩺 Future career plans: Outpatient FM at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, TX
✏️ Favorite residency memory: Both intern and PGY3 retreats (NC Mountains and Lake Norman, respectively), plus all the fun antics me and my co-rezzies would get up to on the job 🙂
☀️ Favorite Winston Salem memory: All the times spent with friends and family at different spots and events around WS, hiking at Pilot Mtn and Stone Mtn, day trips to Asheville, spending time at the local coffee shops…honestly too many memories to list!

We are blessed with an amazing team on 8 Reynolds and today we celebrated our case manager, Emily, as she steps forward into a new role! We will miss you! ❤️

📍Hometown: Baldwin, MD (~30min north of Baltimore) but family is all from Pittsburgh, PA 🖤💛

🩺 Future career plans: Staying in the Wake system - outpatient at Reynolda Family Medicine!
✏️ Favorite residency memory: Probably intern retreat! Amazing time to bond as a class (plus S.O.s), and our Olympics (including Mario Kart) were nothing short of epic 💪🏼🏎️
☀️ Favorite Winston Salem memory: Way too many to count!! Any time spent with my co-residents/ Winston friends - we’ve had some great get-togethers, from hiking to Halloween parties to baby showers 🎉

Chief residents, Dr. Honeywell & Dr. Smith, had a great time at the annual AAFP Chief Resident Leadership Development Program in Kansas City! Not only did they learn the skills to be a great chief, but also met fellow chiefs from other family medicine residencies across the country! 🤗

✏️ Favorite residency memory: The time I ran out of scrub tokens and found myself in the middle of the woman’s locker room without a change of clothes…God bless my coresident who came to my rescue🙌
☀️ Favorite Winston Salem memory: exploring all the local bars, breweries, and coffee shops with all my friends!!! And also, becoming a mountain momma!!!⛰️

Our inpatient team is shaking things up a bit🍦 Nothing beats milkshakes after rounds with Dr Miles!

Several of our residents, sports medicine fellows and faculty attended the AMSSM annual meeting in Phoenix, AZ this past week - they presented their research and PGY-2 Dr. Swisher was presented with the resident scholarship award!! This is one smart group! 💪🏻

📚 Medical School: University of Florida (& undergrad, go gators!! 🐊)
🩺 Future career plans: practicing urgent care and primary care in Winston Salem, plus direct primary care and telehealth metabolic medicine 💪🏻
✏️ Favorite residency memory: the residency retreats! I got to double dip with last year’s PGY-3 class because my wife, Laura, was in the class above me. I’ve retreated to the mountains and lakes so far!
☀️ Favorite Winston Salem memory: walking to coffee shops on cool, fall Saturday mornings, then doing cardio-tennis/ tennis clinics at Hanes Park mid morning 🎾
