We can’t wait to see all of our SOARing eagles, new and returning! Open house is next Wednesday, August 5, and we have 2 times you can choose from - 10:00-12:00 or 4:30-6:30. And the first day of school is quickly approaching - T minus 10 days until August 10th!

Join us in congratulating some pretty awesome SOARing Eagles!
Mrs. Sharpe will be the new principal at Union Cross Elementary school next year. We miss you and are so proud of you!
And our very own Ms. Gaines is the WSFCS Assistant Principal of the Year!!!! Congratulations Ms. Gaines! You deserve it!!
Eagles don’t gamble with success, they earn it! And these 2 ladies have truly earned this!!!

The Preschool Application for the 2026–2027 school year has officially opened today. As in previous years, everything is completed online. Please see the link below:

Applications for the NC Pre-K program will be accepted during the following phases:
--Phase One: February 16 – May 31, 2026
Applications will be accepted and processed during this initial enrollment period.
--Applications are Closed: June 1 - July 7, 2026 - No applications will be accepted during this time.
--Phase Two: July 8 – July 31, 2026
Applications will reopen for families who were unable to apply during Phase One. Families who apply during this phase will automatically be placed on the waitlist.
--Applications Closed: August 1 – September 7, 2026 - No applications will be accepted during this time.
--Phase Three: September 8, 2026 – Ongoing
Applications will reopen for families who were unable to apply during Phase One or Phase Two. Families who apply during this phase will automatically be placed on the waitlist.
Please note: Applying during Phase One gives families the best opportunity for placement, as slots are limited. Applications are processed in the order they are received during each phase.

It's that time! Countdown to Kindergarten!
Make sure you have all of the required documents:
-Student's Birth Certificate
-Parent/Guardian's ID
-Proof of Residency (Water, Gas or Electric Bill, Lease, Mortgage statement)
Rising Kindergarten students should be 5 on or before August 31, 2026.

Families, Teachers, and Staff! It's time for our Fall Scholastic Book Fair! The book fair begins this coming Thursday, October 2nd, and will end Friday, October 10th in the Media Center! It will be open each day from 8am to 3pm, and will also be open during Hispanic Heritage Night on October 2nd! Click the link below to go to our book fair homepage!
