Mother's Day is sneaking up on us once again!! May 12th!! Let's celebrate all the Mamas young and old!! A special shout out to my daughter and daughter in law and all my nieces that are making this very hard job look easy!! Each year I make a special collection of spoon rests in honor of my Mom that I lost at a very young age. I try to put a lot of effort into all of my pottery but my Mother's Day pieces have a little extra love. If I can help you any way let me know. I'll happily wrap your gift as well!!

"The Strawberry Patch" My love of strawberries and pottery collided into one fabulously fun collection of small ring dishes, soap dishes, spoon rests, or anything you want it to be plates! Porcelain is super fun to manipulate and alter because you can easily smooth out edges and swoops. All of these pieces were thrown on the wheel and painted with underglaze. . As a kid growing up in North Carolina but having my grandma in ,I just grew up loving strawberries. Now as an adult that still cherishes the time I had with my grandma, the strawberry is a sentimental symbol. I tried to show my respect and love for both pottery and strawberries in this collection!

Holly Jolly Mugs are still coming out of the kiln!!! Love love love this year's holiday mug!! Perfect for a warm cup of anything all winter long ! I've had so much fun making these mugs. After the actual wheel throwing/ making the mug part, I started doodling this pattern on one with a pencil. Decided to make 2 ... sort of thinking Jimmy and I would use them if they were a little unfortunate looking haha. But instead I was so excited and couldn't wait to get these going.... I'm still making, painting, glazing, and really loving these!! My brain wants me to try one with pink holly leaves... might have to!!! Sky Blue Mugs! If you live in North Carolina there is no denying on a perfect morning you will wake up to a Carolina Blue sky....but because I'm a N.C. State fan, I just can't call it Carolina blue. 🤣. These are porcelain mugs that are my new glazed mug style. I'm super excited about them and probably will be tweaking it as I go. The mugs were thrown on the wheel and while wet I used a wooden rib to alter the sides and another tool to alter the bottom foot. The blue glaze has another subtle and soothing glaze on the edge creating the drips. Sort of a grayish lavenderish color🧐. ❤️☕️
