Yesterday, we had the joy of welcoming our new families to the Newcomer Center Welcome & Resource Fair - a special event designed to help our new families feel connected, informed, and ready for the new school year! 💙📚

Families had the opportunity to meet with numerous community partners, learn about important educational pathways and resources, and make connections that will support them and their children throughout the school year. They also received lots of wonderful giveaways and school supplies to help their students start the year prepared! 🎒✏️📓

It was so special to see the smiles, hear the conversations, and watch families making connections. Most importantly, it was wonderful to know that our new families left with valuable information, helpful resources, and people they can turn to as they navigate their new school community.

A huge thank you to all of our community partners and everyone who helped make this event possible. When we welcome families, connect them to resources, and build relationships, we help create a stronger community for everyone. ❤️

What a great start to the school year! 💙A full house of Spanish-speaking parents at the Freshman Orientation at West Forsyth HS Titans, and our amazing ESL teacher, Maria Bello, was leading the way! 🌎✨ A huge thank you to the West Forsyth High School team for making our families feel welcomed, supported, and ready for the year ahead.

We're officially BACK TO SCHOOL! 🍎📚

Over the past two days, we had the pleasure of welcoming our incredible ESL teachers back for the start of the 2026–2027 school year. It was so good to see everyone together again—catching up with colleagues, sharing ideas, learning new strategies, collaborating, and bringing so much excitement and positive energy into the room. The passion and dedication our teachers have for serving multilingual learners is truly inspiring, and we can't wait to see all they accomplish this year.

For all impacted facilities and residences, no water should be consumed unless it has been boiled.
Principals and supervisors will be notifying staff with work options IF their site has been impacted.
District-wide campus activities may be adjusted. This may include athletic practices. Families of athletes will be notified if there is a schedule change.
We will update you when the advisory has been updated or lifted.
