Medication Administration Classes for both Skilled Nursing Homes and Assisted Living / Group Homes:
MED AIDE: SKILLED NURSING HOMES: SNF
Requirement:
Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant I (CNA I).
Must hold a High School Diploma or GED.
What: 24-Hour State-approved training class for the CNA I that allows you to work in Skilled Nursing Facilities under Nurse supervision to pass meds to the residents of the SNF.

OCTOBER 2026 MED AIDE CLASS:
Saturdays: 9 AM - 5 PM
October 3rd | 10th | 17th

NOVEMBER 2026: HOURS 6PM TO 10PM
WEEK 1: November 10th | 11th | 12th
WEEK 2: November 17th | 18th | 19th

MED TECH FOR ASSISTED LIVING/ADULT GROUP HOMES
18+ Years of age with High School Diploma or GED
What: 15-Hour State-approved training class that allows you to work in the Assisted Living Facility under Nurse supervision to pass meds to the residents of the Assisted Living Facility.

OCTOBER:
Fridays (2) Full Days 9 AM - 5 PM
October 9th & 16th

What Is the Nurse Assistant I Refresher Course?
This course is designed for the student who has taken an NA I course within the past 3 years and has either never tested or has failed the exam on multiple attempts and you could benefit from taking a Refresher Course over a full NA I Course.
It is also for the CNA I with the expired CNA I license that has expired within 5 years of today's date.

After the class, you are required to take and pass both written and skills portions of the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) Examination in order to obtain active certification and listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry.

Nurse Assistant I Refresher Course

Eligibility for the Refresher Course:
*Transcripts from High School or Higher Education.
* Are currently listed as active or inactive on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry, or
* Have successfully completed a state approved training program within 5 years of the current date or
* Hold a state recognized unencumbered health care credential (EMT, EMT-P, CMA, RN, LPN, etc.) from any state or,
* Are military personnel and have documented medical/corpsman training
