TBH asking this or taking time to define what you *really* want in your life is a game changer. When I was going through some intense couples counseling trying to work on my marriage, one of the questions my counselor asked in one of my solo sessions was “What kind of life do you want? What do you want? And don’t say happiness, because that is a vague term”. I said “a peaceful life” to which he had to ask me how I would describe it. Then I couldn’t really put it into words but I could feel it. That was one way I knew it was time to leave my marriage. But since then, I have been asking myself does whatever decision I’m making fulfill my mission to have a peaceful life? If the answer is a no then I table it. Same goes for people. It’s hard to let people go, but if they aren’t aligning with me, what I want to cultivate, or keep me dis regulated and slipping into old patterns of “bad” behavior, what good are they? What are they bringing to my life?
Do you know what you want from life? Do you know what your goals or souls desire for your life is? How are you working to get or create it?
