Yesterday, students in Ms. B's freshman Global Studies class held their annual Sustainable Development Goals Project Exhibition and Fair. Students identified an area of interest (one of the SDGs), conducted research, and created materials to share with their peers in order to inform and inspire π€©

When the sun is shining on Thursday afternoons, an awesome group of students hits the open water for Kayak & Fishing Club πΆπ£
With the help of staff members Greg & Joel, KFC enjoys local bodies of water such as Burr Pond and Wi******er Lake. No prior kayaking or fishing experience is necessary to join - just a desire to have fun! π

Here's a look into what some of our classes have been doing this week π
βͺ In Ms. Blakeslee's Street Law class, students have been learning about capital punishment. They were tasked with creating and defending arguments in a death penalty trial where the defendant was charged with murder. To showcase their skills, they performed in an exciting mock trial! β
βͺ It's Battle Bots time in Dan's Robotics class! Using motors & sensors, students are building their trash-talking robots in preparation for next week's Battle Royale ππ»

On Wednesday, May 13th, a small group of students were able to go rock climbing with The Wilderness School at Whitestone Cliffs in Plymouth, CT π§
Students were challenged to conquer their fears, build trust in their classmates, and learn some basic rock climbing skills πͺπ»
We are so fortunate to be able to offer these types of extra curricular activities. Not only do students get to learn outside of the traditional classroom setting, but they get to have a blast while doing so! π€©

Itβs been an exciting couple of weeks on Adventure Ed!
Last week it was double the golf, double the fun with some disc golf in Norfolk and the driving range in Canaan β³οΈππ»ππ»ββοΈ
Today we hiked Monument Mountain in Great Barrington, MA and got to enjoy not only the exercise but the birds, too! π₯Ύπ¦
Weβre so lucky to live in such a beautiful area of the world, and weβre even luckier that we get to explore it every Friday!
