Students from the Northwestern Regional Agricultural Education Fruit & Vegetable Production class recently made a donation of produce they grew to the Soup Kitchen in Winsted. The students cultivated kale, chard, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers in a variety of mediums including hydroponics and raised beds

The Northwestern Regional FFA Nursery and Landscape Team, who placed 1st in the State of CT in November, recently made a presentation to the New Hartford Garden Club at their monthly meeting on May 1st. The team will be heading to Indianapolis, IN in October to compete at the National FFA Convention. The Garden Club presented the team with a scholarship to help offset costs of attending the contest.
