Lea, aka Toon Ruins is an American artist, autism activist and YouTuber who aims to explain the meaning, symbolism and history behind your animated media, making episode reviews, video essays, theories, analysis, social commentary and research videos all based on animation. She is a graduate of Northwestern CT Community College and will be giving a talk entitled “From Northwestern to Invincible, How to Go Industry Without Going Into Debt.” Lea will cover her story to break into the movie and film industry as well as tips on how do so yourself. Lea will also speak on what exactly she does as an Assistant Animatic Editor and present examples of her work. Join us on at Northwestern’s Comm-Con on April 27th, 2023 in Greenwoods Hall (119 North Main St, Winsted CT 06098) from 5pm to 9pm. The talk will take place at 6pm in Room 306 above the main convention floor. Entry for the general public to the Convention is $5.00 (Cash Only Please). The talk is free.
