Only 2 weeks in and amazing learning is already happening!

Kindergarteners are busy learning how to be students while building their letter knowledge. First graders are strengthening their reading skills and practicing speaking confidently in front of others!

Event details for the remainder of August

All students will have their picture taken on Picture Day August 20th. Here is what you need to know about ordering photos:
Pre-Order Online: You can pre-order pictures until 8/19 by following the instructions on the attached flyer.
Order via Office: Alternatively, send the completed order form with payment to the school office on or before 8/20. Forms are being sent home with students this week.
Order After Picture Day: If you miss the pre-order deadline, a photo proof with instructions on how to order will be sent home later.
Retakes: Retake day is scheduled for 9/24.

Student safety is a top priority at Jefferson Elementary! One important way we prepare is through regular safety drills.

Our first fire drill will take place this week. We know these drills can feel unfamiliar or even a little scary for young children, so we encourage families to talk with their children ahead of time about what to expect. Practicing together helps students feel calm, confident, and prepared.

Safety drills will continue periodically throughout the school year.

REMINDER: Today, Fri 8/7, is an EARLY RELEASE DAY. Students will be dismissed 2 hours early. Kindergarten dismissal 12:05, 1st/2nd grade dismissal 12:15.

The first week of school is off to a great start! We've loved seeing all our returning students and meeting our new kindergarteners. Families, thank you for trusting your kids with us each day.
