One of my favorite preschool graduation traditions is giving each graduate a copy of Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss. ❤️📚🎓

Each year, we sign the book as their preschool teachers and send it home with their family. From kindergarten all the way through senior year, parents can have each teacher add a special note, memory, or words of encouragement.

Then, when they graduate high school, they'll have a beautiful keepsake filled with love from the teachers who helped guide them along the way.🫶🏻

It's a simple book, but over the years it becomes a priceless reminder of their journey, their growth, and all the amazing places they'll go. ✨

What an incredible journey it's been. Having the honor of caring for these amazing children for 1, 3, and even 5 years has truly been a blessing. Watching them grow, learn, gain confidence, and become kindergarten-ready has been one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Seeing their smiles as they take this next big step fills our hearts. Knowing that we played a BIG part in helping prepare them for the future is such a wonderful feeling.

To our graduates, keep learning, keep exploring, and never stop believing in yourselves. We are so proud of each and every one of you!!!!!

Smart Summer Reminders for Busy Families

☀️ 1. Watch the heat, not just the temperature.
If the playground equipment, sidewalk, or car seat feels hot to your hand, it is too hot for little skin.

🧊 2. Build in cool-down breaks before kids melt down.
Children usually get cranky before they can explain they are overheated. Shade, water, and quiet time can reset the whole day.

👕 3. Dress kids for the day they are actually having.
Light clothes, backup outfits, closed-toe shoes, and a hat can make summer play safer and easier.

🐝 4. Teach “look, do not touch” for summer bugs.
Bees, ants, mosquitoes, and other insects are more active in summer. Children should learn to notice them without chasing, swatting, or grabbing.

💧 5. Check water play areas closely.
Even shallow water needs adult supervision. Summer fun can turn risky fast when water is involved.
🍉 6. Keep snacks simple and refreshing.

Fruit, water, and light snacks can help children stay comfortable during hot days without weighing them down.

🧴 7. Make sun protection part of the routine.
Sunscreen, shade, and hats work best when they become a habit before outdoor play begins.

😴 8. Respect the power of rest.
Long summer days can overstimulate children. A calm break can prevent big feelings later.
