The Saint Francis Xavier Back to School Barbecue for students and families was held on Friday and it was a GREAT time! Many thanks to our Home and School Association and all the wonderful parent volunteers who set up, cleaned up, served, grilled, and contributed lots of goodies. What a wonderful community! Saint Francis Xavier is so blessed to have Nurse Katelyn Andreescu with us throughout the day to take care of bumps, bruises, allergies, cuts, scrapes, and any other ailments that might afflict our students and staff. When she's not busy with her patients, she keeps our uniform closet clean and organized and makes sure all our students have whatever supplies they may need for school. And what does she do in her spare time? She comes to school to repaint the games on the school's back patio! Our four square game, the alphabet snake, and the math caterpillar are all getting a fresh look thanks to our loving Nurse Katelyn!

Tuesday was the first day of the 2026-2027 school year at Saint Francis Xavier and it was wonderful to have our school filled with smiling faces once again! Our thanks to Kendall Arguello of the Home and School Association for hosting the Parent Coffee and Treats this morning. Our community was abuzz with excitement for the new year!

Tuesday is the first day of the 2026-2027 school year at Saint Francis Xavier, but last Thursday we welcomed many students and families for our Back To School Ice Cream Social and Supply Drop Off. A special thanks to our super scoopers, Connor McCormick and Issy Arguello, for manning the ice cream and toppings (we understand they've been working out all year to be ready for this), and to our Home and School Association for sponsoring the goodies. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces filling our hallways and classrooms and cafeteria again!

The Saint Francis Xavier faculty and staff have been hard at work this week preparing for the first day of school on August 25. They have had in-service presentations, classroom set up, a special Mass together, and lots of smiles, conversations, and shared excitement about the coming school year. Come join us for a day of fun at the Green Mountain Color Run on Saturday, September 19! The fun kicks off at 10:00 am and goes to 2:00 pm at St. Michael's College, 1 Winooski Park, Colchester, VT. There will be a 5K Run and a Mini Loop -- fun for all ages!

Some of the projects at Saint Francis Xavier School are just a bit grimier than others! Our amazing volunteer Mike Daigle and his generous friend Matt Duggan of Duggan Welding and Line Boring arrived to fix some rust on the lower part of one of the stairwells. Sparks were flying during the soldering and by the end Mike looked like he had been spending time in a local coal mine. Many thanks to Mike and Matt for keeping our beautiful school safe and sound and sturdy!
