🧡🖤 Last Day of School Fun at W-K! 🧡🖤

Our final day of the 2025-26 school year was busy, exciting, and full of great memories! We celebrated our amazing 4th graders during their 4th Grade Celebration, welcomed families to join us for lunch on the playground, and capped off the day with a water balloon celebration that had everyone smiling!

Thank you to our students, families, and staff for making this such a successful school year. While we will miss seeing our Winhawks every day this summer, we hope everyone enjoys a safe, fun, and well-deserved break.

🧡🖤 As we close the chapter on another successful school year at W-K Elementary, I want to take a moment to recognize our incredible staff.

Every day, every staff member pours their heart into serving students. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work help create a school where children feel safe, supported, challenged, and loved.

It is truly a privilege to work alongside such an amazing group of professionals who consistently go above and beyond for kids. Thank you for the critically important work you do each day and for making W-K such a special place to learn and grow.

🎓🧡🖤 Winhawk Proud! 🖤🧡🎓

Yesterday, we celebrated our amazing 4th graders as they completed their final day at W-K Elementary! We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and the growth they have shown throughout their elementary years.

As they prepare to transition to Winona Middle School, we wish them continued success, new friendships, and many exciting opportunities ahead. Once a Winhawk, always a Winhawk!

Thank you to our families for your partnership, collaboration, and support over the years. Your involvement has helped make our students successful both in and out of the classroom.

We also want to thank the many teachers and staff members who have made such a positive impact on these students’ lives. Your dedication, encouragement, and care have helped shape this outstanding group of young people.

☀️🎉 Field Day Fun at W-K Elementary! 🎉☀️

Yesterday, on our second-to-last day of school, our students enjoyed a fun-filled Field Day! Throughout the morning, classes rotated through a variety of game stations, staying active, working together, and making great memories.

With beautiful weather and lots of smiles, it was the perfect way to celebrate another wonderful school year. A big thank you to our staff and volunteers who helped make the day such a success! 🧡🖤

🎣🐟 Our 4th graders had an incredible day on their field trip to East Lake and Lake Park yesterday!

Students enjoyed time outdoors, learned about fishing, and had plenty of success on the water. There were lots of smiles, excitement, and fish being caught throughout the day!

A huge thank you to our PTA, the Foundation for WAPS, our parent volunteers, staff members, the Winona Police Department, and the Winona Fire Department for helping make this memorable experience possible. Your support gave our students an amazing opportunity to learn, explore, and enjoy the outdoors! 🧡🖤

🎨🖌️ Creativity was on full display in Señora Reyes’s 2nd grade classroom last week!

Students learned about artist Wassily Kandinsky and created their own colorful, Kandinsky-inspired masterpieces. Through vibrant circles, shapes, and patterns, our young artists explored color, creativity, and self-expression while developing their artistic skills.

We are so proud of the imagination and effort our 2nd graders put into their artwork. Great job, students! 🌟🧡🖤

Yesterday, all of our 1st grade students and teachers gathered in the Media Center to celebrate the students who completed the 100 Book Reading Challenge! We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and love of reading.
