It’s beginning to feel a lot like summer. Let’s celebrate.

WAPS Community Education is hosting a Summer Kick Off & Family Fun Day at the Winona Middle School from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

WAPS programs and other organizations in Winona will have information on summer camps and activities. Families are also invited to participate in craft making, gym activities and more!

The event is free and open to all families.

Take me out to the ballgame!

WAPS Community Education is organizing a Family Day at Target Field on Sunday, April 27. Watch the Twins battle the Los Angeles Angels at 1 p.m.

The package includes:

⚾ Reserved seat in the Legends Landing to watch the Twins and Angels (Mike Trout!)
⚾ All-you-care-to-eat food and beverage at the game (yes, seriously!)
⚾ Coach bus transportation from Winona Middle School to the game (and back — we won't make you walk!)

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Registrations are due by April 1.

Due to the expected weather, Winona Area Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 12.

For Key Kids families already enrolled for snow care, Key Kids will provide care at Winona Middle School beginning at 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Many of the district’s offices are open regardless of the weather. Call the specific office for more information.
