Please help us in congratulating Terrence Whitcomb, II on winning the 3rd annual Rubye Hankins Hansbrough Memorial Scholarship.

Terrence received a full ride basketball scholarship as well.

Fun fact: We found out yesterday that Mario and Terrence’s dad played football together in college. What a small world!

We would like to introduce the 2nd recipient of the Rubye Hankins Hansbrough Memorial Scholarship, Miss Jasmine Baskin. She received over 70K dollars in scholarship money and won numerous awards including Star Student with a 30 ACT score. She will be attending Ole Miss and majoring in Pharmacy.

Hello Carroll County Seniors!!!!

It’s that time again!

The Rubye Hankins Hansbrough Memorial Scholarship awards a scholarship(s) to college-bound/trade school bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement and the desire to continue their education to change our communities and our world.​​​​​​​

• ONLY graduating high school Seniors at Carroll County Public Schools who plan to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university, junior college, or trade school are eligible to apply.

• Scholarships will be awarded on May 12th of each year (unless it falls on the weekend).

•​​​​​​​ Applicants must maintain a 2.75 GPA through the first semester of their senior year.

• The scholarship will be a minimum of $1000 annually to be paid in one installment.

• Deadline is April 12, 2025

• Please note: This scholarship is not renewable.
