Our work with the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin, was extra special! This project kicked off with a company-wide training trip, bringing together members of our on-site, restoration, new window, and sales teams from all over the country to work side by side, removing the windows for restoration.

From carefully restoring the glass to installing new protective coverings, every step helped preserve the beauty of these windows for years to come.

Do you have windows that need some restoration work? Willet can help; schedule a free inspection here today willet-studios.com/restoration

Check out this piece of Willet history! Christ the King in Glory, the P***n Memorial Window at First United Methodist Church of Germantown in Philadelphia.

Designed and executed by William Willet in 1915, the window is a beautiful example of his attention to detail and naturalistic style. The full-scale cartoon for the window also gives us a great look at how carefully Willet planned his designs before they became glass.

A little piece of Willet history still shining in Philadelphia.

Sticking with our Winona windows, Willet Studios created this beautiful new window for the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Winona, which was generously donated by the Hauser family, the former owners of Willet Studios.

The window depicts the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, surrounded by symbolism representing Faith, Hope, and Love—including the cross, anchor, and rose done by one of Willet's famous designers, Charles. Z. Lawrence.

It’s a beautiful connection between faith, craftsmanship, and the generations of stained glass history that have made Winona home.

The Sower

There’s something timeless about the image of a farmer at work—scattering seed, tending the land, and looking ahead to the harvest.

Willet’s 1907 stained-glass Sower brings that familiar scene to life through rich color and light. The subject also recalls the agricultural paintings of Jean-François Millet, who found beauty in the everyday work of the field.

A simple scene, beautifully transformed through stained glass.

WNB Financial’s historic 1916 building is home to an incredible collection of original Tiffany Studios stained glass and is located in downtown Winona, MN.

When the building celebrated its 100th anniversary, Willet Studios was commissioned to create a new commemorative stained glass window.

The 4-by-5-foot Centennial Window features 1,923 individual pieces of opalescent glass, a central medallion depicting the historic bank building and vault lock, and a border of lotus flowers inspired by the original Tiffany windows throughout the bank.

The result? A new piece of stained glass that honors more than 100 years of Winona history while complementing the remarkable artwork already inside the building.

Tucked among the rolling bluffs of Wisconsin’s Driftless Area, Lyster Lutheran Church outside of Nelson, WI is a quiet, beautiful place, and its stained glass still shines thanks to a bit of help from Willet Studios.

The project at Lyster Lutheran included recementing the windows, reducing minor bulged sections, adding support braces, and installing new Klear-Flo™ protective coverings with 1/4" acrylic.

Willet Studios' Kathy Jordan and Michael Mills recently sat down with ABC4 News to talk about the artistry, craftsmanship, and sheer complexity behind the new stained glass windows at the Salt Lake Temple.

From centuries-old techniques to the innovation helping carry this craft into the future, there’s a lot more to stained glass than meets the eye. And we love getting the chance to share a little bit of what happens behind the glass!

Charles Z. Lawrence's many commissions for the studio included faceted glass for the Smithsonian Associate’s Dining Room in Washington DC; the lobby of Gore Manufacturing in Cherry Hill, MD; the Lutheran Chapel at the M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston, TX as well as windows for Christ School, Greenville, SC; Moorings Presbyterian Church in Naples, FL, among others.

One of Lawrence's most distinguished commissions was his work at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC. The Cathedral is home to five of his great works - three major windows for the studio and two that he designed and fabricated as an independent artist with his daughter Tracy.

Shown here is his design for the Healing Arts window, 1978. Design © Charles Z. Lawrence.
