Mrs. Lauren Funderburk’s Digital Design students grabbed their cameras and put their photography skills to the test with a Photography Scavenger Hunt! 🐯

From finding the perfect angle to experimenting with perspective, lighting, and composition, these Tigers are learning that a great photo is about more than just pointing and clicking! 📷✨

Mrs. Libby Carson’s second-year Culinary Arts students put their skills to the test by making stuffed grilled cheese sandwiches! 😋🔥

Using the culinary techniques and skills they learned last year, these students created a delicious treat—and, of course, got to enjoy the tasty results! ❤️🖤

📸 Learning From a Pro! 🐯

Mrs. Lauren Funderburk’s second-year Multimedia class, Digital Design, welcomed a special guest on Tuesday! Mr. Austin Frayser of Frayser Photography in Starkville, MS, stopped by to share his photography knowledge and experience with our students.

Mr. Frayser showed students the cameras and lenses he uses in his business, shared examples of his work, and walked them through his photography process. He also offered valuable tips for getting great results in a variety of shooting situations.

One of the highlights was learning more about a student favorite—sports photography! 🏈🏀⚾📸 Mr. Frayser discussed how students can get the most out of the cameras and lenses available in their classroom and shared tips for capturing those fast-paced moments on the field and court.

We are so thankful to Mr. Frayser for taking the time to share his expertise with our students! Experiences like this give our Tigers the opportunity to connect what they are learning in the classroom with real-world careers and skills. ❤️🖤

🔧 Hands-On Learning in Automotive! 🚗

Mr. Jackie Vance’s first-year Automotive students were putting their skills into action this morning! Students practiced installing front brakes and rotors and learned how to inspect rear brakes.

There’s no substitute for hands-on experience, and these future automotive professionals are building valuable skills one vehicle at a time! 🛠️🐯

Mr. Jackie Vance’s Automotive students put their skills to work last week with some valuable hands-on experience! Students learned and practiced essential automotive maintenance skills, including changing oil, rotating tires, and inspecting a vehicle. 🛞🧰

There’s no better way to learn than by doing! These Tigers are gaining real-world skills that can prepare them for future careers in the automotive industry. ❤️🖤🐯

On Friday, August 14th, the Ed Prep and Culinary classes at WCTC joined together for a fun, hands-on lesson focused on the importance of teamwork, healthy competition, and encouraging others. Students put these skills into action as they competed against one another in a variety of fun games while learning that good sportsmanship and supporting others are just as important as winning!
