Riverway's Summer School Crew is so thankful to WSU for making a marvelous Mississippi River excusion possible aboard the Cal Fremling. What a wonderful way to expose young students to the beauty and ecology of the place we live.

Thank you Winona Post for covering this exciting project we have in the works! We are so grateful to have recieved a generous Innovation in Service Learning grant awarded by Minnesota Department of Education to provide arbor education and experiences to students and the community. Three cheers for TREES!

Children’s House, E1, and E2 had a lovely day at Riverway’s school forest located at Camp Wenonah guided by secondary students in a yearlong peer leadership program. Students took part in hiking, collaborative art, face painting, and parachute games.

In addition to serving meals onsite (MSC Southeast - Door J) Tuesday-Thursday, we'll be offering take-home-meals containing breakfast & lunch for the other 4 days!

Meal pick up occurs at MSC Southeast - Door J from 1:30 - 2:00 on the following Thursdays: June 18, 25 and July 2, 16, 23, 30.

Because this is a USDA‑regulated program, families must sign up to receive take‑home meals. This ensures we verify eligible children and maintain program integrity.

Local sewers join forces with Secondary students to assemble quilt squares decorated at Riverway's 25th anniversary gathering. Students learned how to make blocks and rows, back the quilt, and bind it all together with guidance from some amazing volunteers Cindy, Nancy and Laurie. Opportunities like these are made possible by community helpers and we are so grateful for their interest and support of our students.

Riverway participated in School Garden Week! Take a look at the marvelous projects in progress; staff and students working together to build and grow good things!

School Garden Week is an exciting celebration that highlights the incredible impact of school gardens across Minnesota. It's an opportunity to celebrate the learning, food production, and community building that takes place in school gardens and recognize the hard work of the students, teachers, and community members who make these gardens possible!

We are so grateful to be recipients of Winona County Master Gardeners Grant dollars! With this funding we are able to purchase items that support our students environmental learning and enjoyment!

The Master Gardener Volunteers of Winona County is an educational program created by the University of Minnesota Extension to share researched gardening best practices that promote healthy landscapes, healthy foods and healthy lives.
