VOLUNTEER with Winona State University at the Minnesota State Fair!

Winona State University will be staffing the Minnesota State system booth in the Education Pavillion at the Minnesota State Fair on Sunday, August 30, from 9 AM-9 PM. We still need volunteers to help represent us at the event.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to connect with prospective students, parents, alumni, and fairgoers from across Minnesota while promoting Winona State.

Volunteer benefits

• Free admission to the Minnesota State Fair for the entire day

• Connect with future students and families in a fun, energetic setting

Volunteer Shifts

• 9 AM - Noon
• Noon - 3 PM
• 3 PM - 6 PM
• 6 PM - 9 PM

The day goes by quickly, and we encourage volunteers to sign up for one or two shifts and enjoy the fair before or after their scheduled time. Volunteers covering multiple shifts will be given time for meal breaks.
**Please note that travel, parking, and meal expenses are the responsibility of the volunteer.

What a remarkable group of Warriors!

Most of these incredible women graduated from Winona State between 1969 and 1971. Along with a former faculty member/coach and athletic administrator, they recently gathered in Rochester to reconnect and reminisce about their time in Winona.

The conversation was lively, filled with laughter, memories, and stories that spanned more than five decades. As graduates of the College of Education, each of these alumnae helped pave the way for women's athletics before the passage of Title IX. Their experiences, determination, and leadership helped shape opportunities for future generations of Warrior student-athletes.

It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating lifelong friendships, sharing memories of the "good old days," and hearing about the incredible paths these Warriors have taken since leaving Winona State more than half a century ago.

Thank you for continuing to inspire the Warrior family. 💜🤍

Join us for Winona State University Ultimate Alumni Day on Saturday, September 19, for a full day of fun, friendship, and Ultimate. On our campus they are known as the Kling-Onz and the Bad Monaz! **Just to be clear-Ultimate used to be known as Ultimate Frisbee.

Two Fathoms Brewing Company-Catch up with teammates and friends before heading to the field.
🥏 2:00–4:00 p.m. – Ultimate Alumni Game at Maxwell Field-Lace up your cleats (or come cheer from the sidelines) as we bring Warriors from every era back together for an afternoon of Ultimate.
🍽️ 4:30–8:30 p.m. – Social at the VFW-Enjoy heavy appetizers, a cash bar, and plenty of time to reconnect and share stories from years past from your time as Kling-Onz and Bad Monaz!
