🔬🧪 STEM Day at Midlands STEM! 🚀🧩

Learning is even more exciting when Mavericks learn together! Today, our older students teamed up with our younger students for some hands-on STEM activities, creativity, problem-solving, and plenty of teamwork.

From building and experimenting to thinking through challenges together, our students had the opportunity to learn from one another while putting their STEM skills into action. 🤖💡

We love seeing our Mavericks across grade levels collaborate, encourage one another, and discover that some of the best learning happens when we learn together! 🧡💙

💗 Join the Midlands STEM Team for the Breast Cancer Walk for Life! 💗

This year, Midlands STEM is proud to have a team participating (Shout out to Mrs. Coleman for organizing) in Columbia’s Breast Cancer Walk for Life on October 17 at 8:00 AM at Segra Park!

This annual event supports the Prisma Health Breast Center, with this year’s fundraising efforts helping provide a new 3-D mammography van to reach rural communities like ours and make important breast cancer screening more accessible.

Breast cancer is a cause that touches so many of us. We all know someone who has faced this disease, and this walk is an opportunity to honor those we’ve lost, support those who are fighting, and celebrate those who have overcome it. 💗

We’d love for our Maverick family and friends to join us! Whether you want to run or walk, there’s a place for you on our team.

⭐ Teacher Cadet Gold Star Award — Class Project ⭐

We are excited to share a special project happening with our first Dual Enrollment class at Midlands STEM! 🎓

This class is being taught on campus by Mr. Gerald Jenkins, Student Services Director, and as part of the course’s service-learning component, students came up with a meaningful way to show appreciation for the people who help make our school a great place to be.

Each month, students will randomly select staff members to receive a Gold Star Award ⭐ for their dedication and contributions to our school community.

The goal of this year-long project is simple: to recognize and celebrate the people who show up every day, work behind the scenes, support our students, and help keep our school moving forward.

We are proud of our Teacher Cadet students for turning service learning into an opportunity to spread a little appreciation and gratitude throughout our school! 💙⭐

Congratulations to our Gold Star recipients! We appreciate all that you do! 👏
