Ms. Rigdon had the pleasure of joining others from across Northeast Louisiana at the Monroe Mayor's Faith in Action Prayer Breakfast this morning.

It is always wonderful to pause with a community of believers in worship, fellowship and prayer.

Mayor Ellis reminded those present that there is no position higher than being at the feet of Jesus and that we should always recognize the power of prayer.

Attached are a few pictures from today's event including some familiar faces from Franklin Parish.

FCCS Homecoming Court’s first phone call to share the exciting news was to their moms. Hearing the girls make these special calls, and hearing the reactions on the other end, was such a sweet moment and funny at times also! These are the little moments that will last a lifetime!

This week 2nd grade has been reading the story “The Final Game”. It is a story about a hockey player. To end their study of the story they were able to play a little homemade hockey.

Office of the Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrell's Outreach team Gina Martinez, Molli Monti, Krystal Romero and Kathy Ray visited Family Community Christian School on Wednesday to share Educating Louisiana: The Dangers of Va**ng. The Louisiana Department of Justice is working to create greater awareness of the harmful effects of va**ng among Louisiana’s youth, to stop children from starting, and help those who want to quit. Collegiate athletes Mike White, ULM Men’s Basketball and Amani Williams, ULM Women’s Basketball, partner with the AG's Office to share their personal experiences as it relates to being a champion while promoting anti-va**ng amongst the youth.

Thanks to the Attorney General for offering this great program to Louisiana schools! This was presented to FCCS Sixth Graders. We are appreciative of the presenters who commented that our kids were very well behaved, respectful, engaged and asked informative questions.
