🩸 HOSA Blood Drive 🩸

FCTC HOSA will be hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, August 28, from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM in Room 206.

We are looking for anyone who is willing to donate and help save lives!

Donor Requirements
Be 16 years old or older
Donors who are 16 must have parental consent
Weigh at least 110 pounds
Before You Donate

All donors are encouraged to:
Drink plenty of water
Eat a good breakfast before donating

Nine FCTC staff members completed their CPR recertification, reinforcing their commitment to the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community.

Whether in the classroom, lab, or workplace, being prepared to respond in an emergency is an important part of creating a safe learning environment. We are proud of our team for taking the time to refresh these life-saving skills as we were getting ready to welcome students back for another amazing school year.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Scott, our new Cosmetology Instructor, and Ms. Veerapen, our new Hair Braiding Instructor, to Fairfield Career and Technology Center!

We are especially excited to launch our Hair Braiding Program this school year, making this the first year FCTC has offered this opportunity to students.

💼✈️ FCTC FBLA Competes on the National Stage! ✈️💼

After earning 2nd Place at the South Carolina FBLA State Leadership Conference, our FBLA students traveled to San Antonio, Texas to represent FCTC and South Carolina at the FBLA National Leadership Conference. Students competed in Business Plan and Website Coding and Development, showcasing their knowledge and skills against some of the nation's top competitors.

While they did not place at the national level, they represented FCTC with professionalism, confidence, and excellence. In addition to competing, students participated in leadership opportunities, connected with peers from across the country, and gained valuable experiences that will benefit them well beyond the classroom.

📚✨ **Learning Never Stops at FCTC!** ✨📚

While students are enjoying summer break, our FCTC faculty and staff are continuing to learn and grow at the Palmetto Education Summit. Through professional development sessions, networking, and collaboration with educators from across the state, they are gaining valuable knowledge to bring back to our classrooms and programs.

A special highlight of the summit has been the recognition of our very own Dr. Grover Pilot as the 2026 Administrator of the Year by the South Carolina Association for Career and Technical Education (SCACTE). This prestigious honor reflects his outstanding leadership, dedication to student success, and commitment to excellence in Career and Technical Education.
