CLTCC Huey P. Long is promoting our new CNA night program coming this OCTOBER 5th🎉
Certified Nursing Assistant better known as the CNA program is close to our heart as it is the first introduction to the healthcare industry for many of our students.

This class has been a long time coming and we hope to welcome in several new students!

Our Forestry team missed out on their Spirit Day last week as they left us for a field trip to Arkansas! (We may be a little jealous🙄)

But they never fail to come through as they ALL wore their BOBCAT PRIDE COLORS on this beautiful Tuesday morning!

HAPPY NATIONAL FOOD BANK DAY🍿✨🥳

“National Food Bank Day is observed annually on the First Friday of September to raise awareness about hunger and support food banks across the United States.”

Here at CLTCC Huey P. Long this day has been months in the making. For the betterment of our students and the environment in which they learn, we acknowledged a huge discrepancy, which was that our food pantry was empty.

Our students face different walks of life as we all do, but hunger should never be one of those. After much discussion and research we were finally blessed with two separate donations from our beloved communities that reached out into other parishes.

Thank you to Verda Baptist Church for hearing our stories, seeing our advocation for our students, and answering our need❤️

We also want to thank other donors for their support through fresh fruits and pastries. 🥐

Making sure no student of ours goes hungry is a personal and passionate commitment of our campus and we aim to not stop here……✨

If your business, church, civic organization, or someone you know would like to help support our campus we would absolutely love to hear from you!

But today is about celebrating, so please join us in celebrating the success of a fully stocked food pantry on this national day of awareness!

Today we showed our CLTCC pride by wearing our sprit shirts and school colors! Some of our students will not share the spirit until this upcoming week but we were so grateful to have our Welders and our Nurses showcase their BOBCAT PRIDE today!

THIRST FOR CHANGE BLOOD DRIVE❤️🩸💉

Our Huey P. Long campus in Winnfield, LA hosted a Blood Drive for our community and students❤️ We would like to thank all of those who gave and all of those who tried!

FORESTRY COMING THRU🌲🌊🌄

Our instructor, Mr. Larry Kile took our Forestry students on their first field trip of the new Fall 2026 semester! These photos captured the exploration and learning experiences Mr. Larry shared with them as well as their walks within nature on this cloudy day.💚

We love hearing the stories and seeing their smiles when they come back from one of their field trips! We are wishing them many more to come over this new semester!
