The last few months have gone by fast, but that doesn’t stop the kiddos at Sweet Peas from having fun with activities! We have painted our salt art, made potions with baking soda and vinegar, and played with gooey chia seeds. Messy play is the best!

Sweet Peas Daycare will be open on the 20th from 12:00 to 3:30! If you are planning on utilizing the daycare, bring diapers, formula, an extra set of clothes, or anything else your little one needs. I will also have parents fill out a bit of paperwork for emergency contact and allergies!

Last Wednesday we had the privilege of hosting Governor Gianforte and First Lady Susan at the daycare. They were brave enough to sit on the floor with the kiddos and read them a book and take time to play. We also had the chance to discuss how there is such a shortage of childcare, and how it really is a part of the economic infrastructure for working parents. Governor Gianforte has helped to push funding for daycare around Montana, which has tremendously helped our small daycare. First Lady Susan also talked about her work with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, and urged all parents to sign their young children up for the program to help build their home libraries. We were excited to be recognized by the Governor and First Lady in such a rural area, and appreciate the time they took out of their busy schedules to visit our daycare!

March was a month full of picnics, painting, coloring Easter eggs, and fun with new toys! Sweet Peas received a wonderful grant from the Montana Childcare Alliance that allowed us to purchase some fun new things for indoor and outdoor fun, and we could not be more thankful!

Per usual, I am late to posting about our Christmas fun! The kiddos got to decorate our Christmas tree, paint some snowflakes, make some ornaments, and of course open some presents! Halloween was a super fun day at the daycare! We got to decorate cookies, watch some Halloween cartoons, and get ready for some trick or treating! Our awesome moms came in to help with cookies and get our costumes all ready, and also help us attempt to herd all of our kiddos into a group photo 😂. Now we get to take down our Halloween decorations and start on our fun Thanksgiving crafts!

Melody Whitcher also payed us a visit to do a vision health screening for the kiddos. It was super quick and painless, and the kids really enjoyed having her! Melody is a member of our Lions Club in Winnett, and graciously volunteered her time to the kids eye health! We couldn’t be more thankful!
