POV: It’s Safety Week and you’re trying to assure 3rd graders that it’s been a really long time since there’s been a tornado 🌪️ in Winnetka…yet it abruptly turns into a commentary about your age. 😆

We are grateful Mr. Finnerty has a good sense of humor and for all he does to help make our students and staff feel safe!

Our Director of Safety & Security, Ray Finnerty, and Therapy Dog, Winnie, kicked off Safety Month in our schools this week! We’re also looking forward to welcoming the Winnetka Police Department and Winnetka Fire Department for “High Five” Fridays throughout the month.

Since summer isn’t quite over yet, we also want to remind students to make safe choices while enjoying Lake Michigan, swimming pools and other favorite ways to spend time on the water. Keep an eye out for our new Winnie-edition Water Safety Tips card, coming soon! 💦🛟🌊
