Much is said about teachers. Lately I've been teaching French to young children, 7 years old and up. I have enjoyed tremendously teaching adults not only about the French language, but the foundation of any language, grammar; I had to start with English grammar to explain French grammar. Teaching children is quite different. Their ability to focus on reading and writing is limited, therefore the rest of the hour lesson is spent playing games in French.
If anyone knows of French games please contact me. Amazon has a very limited number of French games, and not the best. I had to search eBay.CA (Canada) to find one French game.
Imparting valuable instructive material to young minds is so very rewarding. That's why so many people remember their school teachers.
Translation has its own "fun", when you like languages. It's almost like solving a puzzle :)

Copyrights prevent me from posting a sign about mistakes in translations. However, I can write what the sign said, which is "Thunderstorms do not call cell phones".
This, ladies and gentleman, is but an example of companies using the Internet to translate words and phrases.
"You get what you pay for", as the saying goes.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I wish businesses would consider the risk of having owner's manuals badly translated, especially when it concerns products that could injure the user.
I just bought a gadget and I had to call the manufacturer because the instructions were unintelligible.
