Stephen Eakin is coming back to Northeastern Nevada to teach FREE seminars to help us Celebrate 10 Years of Loyalty BJJ! The seminars will have an Open Mat & Pot Luck/Pizza Party afterwards so come prepared to eat. The Kid’s Seminars start at 10AM and the Adults Seminars start at 2PM. IT IS FREE FOR ALL LOYALTY MEMBERS.

A successful weekend in the ring.
Coaches traveled to Schurz, NV to compete in the 6th Annual Kenneth Austin Boxing Memorial. Coach Cliff and Coach PJ went out and represented North East Nevada and the Loyalty Boxing Club. It was a good day of amateur boxing and a fun event to be fighting/cornering at for our team.

We went 1 and 1 for the day. Despite Coach PJ having a younger and much taller foe, he still marched forward through fire and gassed out his opponent. Unfortunately he ran out of time before he could take advantage of his excellent cardio. His opponent managed to box a little smarter from the outside and took the decision.

Coach Cliff had a match full of fireworks. His opponent tried to knock him out in the first few seconds of the fight. Coach Cliff survived the flurry from his opponent by smart footwork and changed the momentum. His opponent then tried to clinch nonstop but Coach Cliff clinched more effectively. By round two Cliff’s opponent was running away from his uppercut slipping through the guard and tough body hooks. His opponent wouldn’t come back out for round 3 with a broken rib, so Cliff won via TKO round 2.

Overall we are pleased with how the Boxing Club is growing in the short time it’s been around.

No Class Today (Wednesday 9/16) Due to Illness.

🔫 Nerf Wars still on for Friday 9/18! All ages 5-12 classes will be canceled and combined in the 4:30-6:30pm time slot for two hours of nerf wars.
(No Kids Boxing, Ages 5-12 Jiu-Jitsu, or Ages 5-12 Kickboxing)

🧒 Kids can bring their own nerf guns, provided they use standard nerf darts, or borrow from the gym.

Hard training hampers your immune system’s ability to fight infections, bacteria, and viruses. You will get better faster while resting, and you will help keep your teammates healthy for their fights, jobs, classes at school, and daily lives.

Martial arts are contact sports, and illness spreads quickly when close to other humans.

Be kind to your teammates and stay home if you are sick.
