I'm a bit behind in sharing photos and thanks for recent events, but today's the day! A big THANK YOU to Sonic Drive-In for allowing us to use your location for our second Bucks for Buckles event on September 10th. It was a gray and rainy morning, but we still persevered and distributed 60 bucks to folks who were buckled up! And a huge thank you to those who showed up in the rain to help out! We had folks from USD 470 - Arkansas City Public Schools, Kansas Children's Service League, Arkansas City Police Department, and William Newton Hospital. With the downpours, it was definitely an event to remember!

I'm slow posting these, but I want to give a big shoutout to Sonic Drive-In who graciously allowed us to use their location for our Bucks for Buckles event on the morning of September 3rd. We had a great time and distributed 76 bucks to folks wearing their seatbelts that morning! And a huge thank you to Winfield Police Department, Winfield Fire/EMS Department, Parents as Teachers - Cowley County, William Newton Hospital, and the Kansas Highway Patrol for helping us with this worthwhile event!

Be sure to come hang out and watch a movie with us at the 2026 Community Night Out!

We're excited to announce that Community Night Out is returning! Back by popular demand, we're going to play a movie on the big screen at Island Park on October 9th. You may remember when we partnered with the Winfield Recreation Commission in 2020 for a showing of Hocus Pocus and in 2021 for The Goonies.

Here's where you come in. We need help deciding which movie to play this year. Our planning committee has whittled the massive list down to 12 movies. To vote on what you'd like to see, please visit winfieldks.org/CNOsurvey by August 31st. We will announce the winner in September, along with further details on the event.
