Freshman Work Day!! 🧹🫟

Saturday, August 15, the freshmen class spent the day serving throughout the community! Split into groups, they spread out across Winfield to give back to the people who give so much to us.

A big thank you to all of our freshmen and site leaders for giving their time to serve our community! And a special shoutout to Abbey Denly for making it all happen!!

Thank you, Legacy, for letting us come meet with you. Lots of great SC connections, community support & service and good conversation.

Legacy Regional Community Foundation Grants Committee members met this morning to hear an inspiring presentation from Southwestern College Leadership students. We gained new insights into the students’ studies, servant leadership and their work throughout our community.

Memorable thoughts:
1) Philanthropy is “the love of humankind”
2) Philanthropy has two sides: the relief of suffering and improved quality of life
3) “Nothing is mandatory. Nothing is optional.”

To learn more about grant opportunities or how to support the work of Legacy Foundation visit us at 1216 Main, Winfield, view information at www.legacyregionalfoundation.org or call 620-221-7224 with questions.

Leadership alum for the win. Mollie Foster helps me support two hard working international students with a little Chicago fun before classes start. Thanks Mollie. They are already talking about seeing you again at homecoming.
