Do you have a family member who has served our country in the United States Armed Forces?

We would be honored for you to invite them to be your special guest at our Taft Middle School Veteran’s Day celebration! During this special event, our students will have the opportunity to learn about the true meaning of Veteran’s Day, while recognizing and honoring the men and women who have served our country.

Your veteran will be our special guest! Veterans in attendance will be recognized during our special celebration, and we would love to have as many of our Taft families represented as possible.

Student's are learning about creating Color Studies, Original Color Pallets, Color Theory, and creating exploration paintings, appropriations, and paintings inspired by music (Song Paintings) with Mr. Clauss this month.

Congratulations to all of our students who found the hidden college logos throughout the building as a part of Taft’s College Go Week festivities!

"Taft's Cross Country team got up well before the crack of dawn last Saturday, September 26th, to compete against 30 other teams at the 44th Annual Culver Cross Country Invitational. Our teams did very well!

In the girls reserve race, Ava Sotak had her best race of the season to get 9th. Charlotte Urena was 27th, Jenna Jusko was 37th, and
Scarlett Zimmerman had her best race of season to finish 41st among over 200 runners.

In the boys reserve race, Gavin Fercik was 33rd, and Matthew Lipski was 35th.
Drake Stephens had his best race of the season to get 74th, and Sufyaan Al-Ghaziani had his best race of the season to get 84th out of over 300 runners.

The girls varsity squad placed 4th overall.
Out of over 250 runners, Siboney Arceo came in 5th, Aria Coffee was 21st, Norah Carney was 62nd, Raegan Fritz was 73rd, and Imogen Suttle was 81st!

The boys varsity squad also placed 4th overall. Out of 285 runners, Jackson Evorik was 14th, Jacob Rosario was 20th, Parker McClanahan was 31st, AJ Flores was 35th, Luke Rodriguez was 51st, and Ricky Vara had his best race of the season to get 90th.

Way to go, Taft XC! 🐾
