What a thrill! For our annual 7th Grade Science Egg Drop Project, students designed devices to protect an egg from progressively higher falls. 90 devices made it to the final round — and 25 kept their eggs safe from the top drop off a ladder truck with the Crown Point Fire Department (over 100 feet)!

Huge congratulations to all students for an impressive final science project, and a heartfelt thank you to the Crown Point Fire Department for partnering with us again.

Robert A. Taft’s mom, First Lady Helen Herron Taft, and the Viscountess Chinda of Japan planted the first two cherry blossom trees in Washington D.C. The date was March 27, 1912. Our 7th graders were inspired and made paintings to celebrate the gift from Japan that we still treasure today!
