โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿš August at Celebration Station! ๐Ÿš๐Ÿฆโ˜€๏ธ

We squeezed a whole lot of summer fun, creativity, reading, games, and even a brand-new skill into our August Celebration Station days!

Our Littles started things off with Lion Day! We read Miss Lollipopโ€™s Lion and The Happy Lion and sent everyone home with a lion coloring sheet to continue the fun.

For Pete the Cat Day, we read I Love My White Shoes and Pete at the Beach, played Pete the Cat Wheels on the Bus, and then made our very own Pete the Cat books to take home!

We got crafty for Slinky Dog Day by making our own slinky dogs, and Potato Day gave us the very important job of designing pants for potatoes. We also played a round of Mr. Potato Head Says!

Then it was time to head to the beach. We made jellyfish and sandcastles while reading Jenny the Jellyfish and The Sandcastle Contest.

Our Littles went on an exciting ocean animal scavenger hunt through the hall before settling in for The Little Old Mermaid Who Swallowed a Shark, The Little Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell, Secrets of the Seashore, and Sounds of the Ocean.

We kept the beach fun going with Beach Bingo and an octopus matching game before creating a snack that was almost too cute to eat! Our edible beach scenes featured graham cracker sand, cheese turtles and whales, a sour straw beach blanket, and a Teddy Graham enjoying a relaxing day by the water. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Today, our Big Kids joined us for a morning of serious gameplay! We warmed up with a few rousing rounds of Shakey Scribble before tackling something brand new: Mah Jong! Our Bigs learned about the history of the game, mastered the basics, and spent most of the morning putting their new skills to work. We also celebrated Rock, Paper, Scissors Day with some friendly competition! โœŠโœ‹โœŒ๏ธ

And because no August Celebration Station is complete without a cool treat, both our Littles and Big Kids were treated to delicious snow cones from our friends at Icey Gator! ๐Ÿง๐ŸŠ

We had such a wonderful time learning, creating, playing, reading, and snacking with our Celebration Station kids. Weโ€™re already looking forward to our next adventure!

๐ŸŒŸ Celebration Station Recap! ๐ŸŒŸ

May was full of mystery, adventure, trains, frogs, turtles, and plenty of fun!

Our Littles kicked off the party with the biggest crowd we've ever had to celebrate Lei Day, and everyone received a colorful lei to wear.

For Spy Day, our young detectives dressed up and put their observational skills and deductive reasoning to the test through games and activities. We read Pet Detective, Spy Guy, and Who Stole the Cookies from the Cookie Jar?

For Train Day, we climbed aboard to read I'm Taking a Train Ride with Thomas and The Little Red Caboose. The children created a train craft and practiced their math skills with a train-themed game.

Frog Day had everyone hopping with excitement! We read Jump, Frog, Jump!, Frog's Lunch, and The Wide-Mouthed Frog. The children enjoyed playing Flying Frogs and Lily Pad Jump.

For Snail Day, we read Snail Crossing and created colorful snail dot pictures.
Turtle Day brought I Wish I Could Fly and The Foolish Tortoise, along with activities celebrating our slow-and-steady friends.

We also celebrated Crown and Tiara Day and were delighted to score some royal headgear fit for kings, queens, princes, and princesses!

Our Big Kids put their problem-solving skills to work by completing a challenging Train Escape Room and tackling Murdle logic puzzles. They also enjoyed detective-themed games including Eye Witness, Missing Object, Clue Jr., and Unusual Suspects.

Chocolate Chip Day was a delicious success with homemade chocolate chip muffins, and everyone enjoyed our adorably cheesy turtles.

As always, we packed plenty of learning, creativity, and laughter into our celebrations. We are so proud of all our students and can't wait to see what adventures June will bring! โค๏ธ

Do you love Celebration Station? Of course you do. Look at me asking foolish questions. ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒˆ

April was FULL of color, laughter, and just a little bit of magic at Train Up A Child!

โœจ Our Bigs kicked things off with an Easter Escape Room and worked their way through clues to earn candy egg prizes. We celebrated Dandelion Day with the sweetest handmade blooms, explored Rainbow Day with a disappearing rainbow craft (still not sure where those colors wentโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ‘€), teed off for Golf Day, and even put our brains to work for Scrabble Day.

Snacks? Oh, we did Jelly Bean Day RIGHT with jelly beans, popcorn, rainbow sour candy, and the most beautiful rainbow sugar cookies made by the wonderful Margaret McLaughlin! ๐Ÿชโœจ

๐ŸŒˆ Our Littles took a journey through color and imagination! We read The Hungry Caterpillar and What Makes a Rainbow?, then created our own rainbow crafts and played โ€œPin the Cloud on the Rainbow.โ€ We practiced sequencing with the colors of the rainbow and brought stories to life in the sweetest ways.

๐Ÿฆ„ Unicorn Day was pure magic! We chose our unicorn names (very official business), played Unicorn Ring Toss and โ€œWho Has the Unicorn?โ€, and read A Unicorn Named Sparkle, Thelma the Unicorn, and Donut the Unicorn Who Wants to Fly. We made unicorn masks, colored, and even brought home sticky unicorn friends. (As one does.)

๐Ÿ˜ Animal Cracker Day had us reading The Gingerbread Girl Goes Animal Crackers, practicing number sequencing, and playing a VERY important game involving real animal crackersโ€ฆ which were, of course, delicious. ๐Ÿ˜„

๐Ÿฅ And for Chicken Dance Day, we went ALL IN; performing the dance, making chick sack puppets, creating spring scratch art, and reading The Great Egg Escape and There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Chick. We even played Count Your Chickens and sent everyone home with their own tiny chick in a basket. (Yes, it was as adorable as it sounds.)

๐Ÿ’› Snacks all around included rainbow sugar cookies, jelly beans, and animal crackers. Gotta power our minds and food is our fuel!

We are so proud of our Bigs and Littles for learning, laughing, creating, and celebrating every single day with us. April was a joyful whirlwind. We wonder what glorious May will bring!

๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ“š Celebration Station: Seuss-tacular March! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒˆ
Oh, the places we went this month at Celebration Stationโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ’š
Both our Big Kids and Little Kids groups stepped into the wonderfully wacky world of Dr. Seuss, and what a joyful, messy, imagination-filled adventure it was!

โœจ Big Kids Fun โœจ

Our Bigs dove into Bartholomew and the Oobleck and built LEGO walls during the storyโ€”only to push them together into one grand kingdom before creating our very own oobleck and making it rain down from the sky! It was gloriously messy and full of laughter.

We read The Butter Battle Book and took matters into our own handsโ€ฆ literallyโ€ฆ by making butter from scratch! Paired with crackers, it made for a delicious treat. Even our moms gave it a taste and confirmed: we are officially butter-making masters. ๐Ÿงˆ๐Ÿ‘

After reading The Lorax, we created beautiful tie-dye Earths using coffee filtersโ€”a colorful reminder to care for our world.

โœจ Little Kids Fun โœจ

Our Littles had just as much Seussian fun! We read Horton Hears a Who and made the sweetest Horton crafts, complete with teeny tiny Whos, then played a silly game of Nutty Elephant.
We scrambled things up with Green Eggs and Ham, followed by a Seussy matching game after 1 Fish 2 Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Then came Hop on Popโ€”which naturally led to trampoline turns AND hopping on balloons in the hall (because of course it did!). ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ˜‚

We finished up with The Cat in the Hat and sent everyone home with Thing headbands, then read Thereโ€™s a Wocket in My Pocket and made our own Wocketsโ€”plus cozy little pockets to tuck them into.

To wrap up our day, we read There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Clover and โ€™Twas the Night Before St. Patrickโ€™s Day, and each child took home a pot of gold to invite a little extra luck into their homes. ๐Ÿ€โœจ

And a very special thank you to Margaret McLaughlin for the adorable (and delicious!) Thing 1 & Thing 2 cake popsโ€ฆ along with everyoneโ€™s favorite snack โ€” Hop on Pop-corn! ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ
We had a Seuss-ical, silly, joy-filled day from start to finish, and we are already looking forward to our next adventure together ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŽ‰ February Fun at Celebration Station! ๐ŸŽ‰

February was packed with creativity, teamwork, and a few delightfully silly surprises at Celebration Station!

Our Big Kids group kicked things off by celebrating National Puzzle Day with a winter-themed Escape Room challenge. The students worked together to crack clues, solve puzzles, and unlock the final prizeโ€”hot chocolate for everyone! โ˜•๐Ÿงฉ

We followed it up with a lively teamwork game called Puzzle It, which had everyone thinking and collaborating.

We also explored Chinese New Year, learning about traditions like red envelopes, dragon dancing, and celebrations of good fortune. The students even tried their hands at Chinese Checkers (which we learned was actually invented in Germanyโ€”who knew?). Happy Year of the Horse! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿงง

And because Celebration Station loves a quirky holiday, we marked Thumb Appreciation Day and Banana Bread Day with a very special snackโ€ฆ a loaf of banana bread shaped like a giant thumb! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒ

Meanwhile, our Little Kids group spent the month celebrating Dental Health Month with tooth-themed crafts and activities. We read Open Wide by Tom Barber and played the classic game Crocodile Dentist (an โ€œantiqueโ€ from 1992โ€ฆ weโ€™re feeling very vintage about that! ๐Ÿ˜‰).

It also happened to be Hippo Day, so we read Hippoโ€™s Toothache by Cheryl Ryan and then had a blast playing Hungry Hungry Hippos.

To celebrate Bison Day and Bubblegum Day, we read Bubble Gum Bison Needs a Bath by Scott Rothman and On Account of the Gum by Adam Rex.

The kids made adorable gumball machine crafts, enjoyed more of our famous thumb-shaped banana bread, and wrapped up the day learning about Chinese New Year, complete with red envelopes filled with play money. ๐Ÿงง

We ended the day with a HALLWAY CARNIVAL! ๐ŸŽก๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ

At Celebration Station, every month is an adventure in learning, laughter, books, and a little bit of delightful nonsenseโ€”and we wouldnโ€™t have it any other way!

๐Ÿงธโ„๏ธ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽ‰ CELEBRATION STATION FUN! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฟ๏ธ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿงค
This morning was full of laughter, learning, and LOTS of love as we celebrated a whole flurry of whimsical winter holidays at TUACโ€™s Celebration Station! โ˜ƒ๏ธ

We had an absolute blast with:
โœจ Drinking Straw Day
๐Ÿ” Snuggle A Chicken Day
๐Ÿฆ† Rubber Duck Day
๐Ÿ‰ Dragon Appreciation Day
๐Ÿ“Œ Sticker Day
๐Ÿฟ Popcorn Day
๐Ÿง Penguin Day
๐Ÿฟ๏ธ Squirrel Day
๐Ÿ˜ด Hibernation Appreciation

We cozied up with The Mitten and gave each child a precious handmade mitten filled with all the storyโ€™s sweet characters! We also shared The Snowy Day, The Little Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow, and played a round of Old Lady Bingo that had everyone giggling!

Our little artists got to:
โ„๏ธ Color wooden snowflake ornaments
๐Ÿ–๏ธ Create magical winter scratch art
๐Ÿป Build snowy cave dioramas (with tiny sleeping bears inside!)

We read some hibernation favorites like:
๐Ÿ“š Hibernation Station, A Loud Winterโ€™s Nap, The Very Cranky Bear, and Goodnight Grizzly Grump โ€” then made our own hibernation cave in the hall and pretended to snooze like cozy bears!

Penguin Day was a chilly thrill! We:
๐Ÿง Read Tacky the Penguin
๐ŸŽจ Made adorable penguin crafts
๐ŸŽฃ Fished for penguins
๐ŸงŠ Played โ€œProtect the Penguinโ€ and โ€œPenguin Shuffleโ€
๐ŸŽบ And went home with our very own penguin whistles!

We wrapped it all up with The Little Old Lady Who Swallowed a Dragon, and celebrated Sticker Day, Dragon Day, and more with cookies, cocoa, and a little puff of cotton candy magic. ๐Ÿ’™โ˜•๐Ÿช

From dragons to ducks, popcorn to penguins, we celebrated it all todayโ€”and most importantly, we celebrated the JOY of imagination, friendship, and fun.

Thank you for sharing your amazing kids with us! ๐Ÿ’–

๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ“šโœจ BIG KID CELEBRATION STATION โ€” NOVEMBER EDITION! โœจ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽจ
Our older kiddos showed up READY to learn, create, laugh, and get just a little messy โ€” and honestly, they knocked it out of the park this month!
Hereโ€™s what we got into! ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ‘‘ KING TUT DAY!
We took a trip to Ancient Egypt (no passports required โœˆ๏ธ):
๐Ÿบ Learned about King Tut and his incredible tomb
๐Ÿงฑ Checked out Melโ€™s amazing LEGO Great Pyramids of Giza build
๐Ÿ”ค Wrote our names in real hieroglyphics like the coolest scribes in the Nile Valley
๐ŸŽถ And YESโ€ฆ we watched Steve Martinโ€™s absolutely bonkers โ€œKing Tutโ€ performance.
10/10 Steve!

๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŒธ ART DAY x2 โ€” MONET & Oโ€™KEEFFE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS!

We honored two iconic artists with November birthdays.

๐ŸŽจ Claude Monet:
We painted our own dreamy Water Lilies, complete with watercolors and soft brushstrokes.
๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท We listened to French music the whole time (thanks to the Ratatouille soundtrack, because we are nothing if not thematic). ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธโœจ

๐ŸŒธ Georgia Oโ€™Keeffe:
We switched gears and zoomed WAY in to create bold, beautiful Oโ€™Keeffe-style flower close-ups.
The Big Kidsโ€™ art skills? Chefโ€™s kiss. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽจ

๐ŸŽฒโœ๏ธ GAMES!
To keep the artsy vibes rolling, we:
๐Ÿคช Played Shaky Sketch
๐ŸŽ‰ Battled it out in Pictionary Jr.
There was laughter. There was competitiveness. There was a LOT of questionable doodling. ๐Ÿ˜„โœ๏ธโœจ

๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽจ Our Big Kids blew us away this month. Between pharaohs, pyramids, paint palettes, and sketchy sketchesโ€ฆ this group proved just how creative, curious, smart, and FUN they are. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽจ

Canโ€™t wait to see what we get up to next!

๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป Celebration Station: Spooky Spectacular! ๐Ÿ‘ป๐ŸŽƒ

This monthโ€™s Celebration Station was one for the (spell) books!

Our Big Kids group became master detectives, solving a Halloween escape room that took them through a pumpkin cipher, a potion lab, and even the Spider Queenโ€™s maze! ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธโœจ

After escaping the creepy castle, we played a hilarious Left/Right prize game, then competed in spooky Minute to Win It challenges โ€” candy corn stacking, pumpkin pickup, bone stacking, puzzle racing, monster building, candy sorting, and eyeball scooping galore! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿฌ

We also made Halloween MadLibs, played Spooky Charades and Pictionary, tossed bean bags, played Donโ€™t Eat Pete and Sticky Hands Spider Stack, and wrapped it all up with laughter and prizes all around! ๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ

Our Little Kids crew had a monster-ific morning of their own โ€” they painted, put together Spookly the Square Pumpkin puzzles, traced and colored pumpkins, and played Pumpkin Toss! ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŽƒ

They listened to some of our favorite stories: The Old Lady Who Wasnโ€™t Afraid of Anything, The Ghost Said Boo, Skeleton Meets Mummy, Skeleton Hiccups, and The Chocolate Chip Ghost!

We even went on a Color Monster hunt, built our own monsters, made monster sack puppets, and stirred up a silly batch of monster stew! ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ’š

The little monsters left with a Halloween bucket filled with themed worksheets, puzzles, and crafts โ€” a little bundle of spooky fun to take home. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿงก

Weโ€™re already brewing up ideas for next monthโ€™s adventure! ๐Ÿ‚โœจ
