A huge thank you to Catley’s Critters for visiting us today! 🐐🐰🐔

The children had such an amazing time meeting and interacting with all the animals. Experiences like this create such special memories and bring so much joy and learning to their day.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to come out and share your wonderful animals with us! 💛

This week a family asked if I actually have children in my care and why there are no pictures of the children on my page.

The truth is, while I do have photo consent forms from families, it has always felt a little unsettling to me to post other people’s children on the internet. Even with consent, I sometimes feel families may say yes simply because their child is in my care, and I never want anyone to feel pressured or uncomfortable.

Protecting the privacy and safety of the children I care for is very important to me. If I ever decide to share photos, I will likely block out the children’s faces to respect that privacy — and honestly, I may never fully feel comfortable posting them at all.

But just to answer the question that was asked: yes, I absolutely do have children in my care every day. My focus has always been on providing a safe, loving, and engaging environment for them rather than sharing their moments online.

Running a business means standing on your policies — even when it’s uncomfortable.

Not every family will agree with structure. Not every arrangement will be the right fit long term.

But I will always choose professionalism, fairness, and the safety of the children in my care over popularity.

Building something with integrity means sometimes being misunderstood — and I’m okay with that.

My heart is so full today. My daughter has been accepted into Boston University, and I couldn’t be prouder. God has truly ordered her steps, and all her hard work, late nights, and prayers have paid off. This is only the beginning—He has amazing plans for you. 🙏🏽✨🎓

As a mom and a child care provider, I have the blessing of having my baby within my sight throughout the day. However, with that comes the reality that I’m not always able to give her one-on-one attention, as I work hard to ensure each child in my care receives a bit of individual attention daily.
That’s why in the evenings, once the day is done, we are intentional about how we spend our time together. Whether it’s bath time or dinner time, I make a conscious effort to keep her engaged—not with a tablet or device, but by being fully present, mentally and physically, in that moment with her.
You see, children don’t remember money or material things. What they remember is time—and how they felt.
I remember many years ago living in a small town in Massachusetts with my daughter, who is now almost 18. I was broke as a joke back then, yet some of her fondest memories came from those very hard times. She often talks about how I used to hide eggs around our apartment so she could go on little egg hunts, and how happy that made her. She even said, “Mom, you always had food in the refrigerator.”
What she didn't know is that there were times I relied on food pantries just to make sure she was fed.
Today, I am humbled and deeply grateful for how God has blessed me.
I share this to say: I know how hard it is, especially for working parents. Life is busy, exhausting, and demanding—but every small ounce of time matters. Make it count when you’re with your little ones. In the end, time is the most valuable gift you can ever give them. 💛

Hello! I’m a family child care provider in CT and exploring fun indoor enrichment options for the children, such as a small petting zoo, storytelling, or face painting. If anyone has experience with this or knows of vendors who work with small programs, I’d appreciate any recommendations.
