The Wediko School is a private residential treatment and education program serving adolescent boys.

Wediko Children's Services is a non-profit organization committed to transforming children's lives. Since 1934, Wediko has been providing therapeutic and educational services to children, families, and schools struggling with complex emotional, behavioral, and learning issues.

The Wediko School recently took its first off-campus overnight trip to the White Mountains—and what an adventure it was! 🌳

Students and staff packed the trip with fun, new experiences. The group challenged themselves on a high ropes course, hiked through Flume Gorge, enjoying dined out together and bonded over preparing a delicious breakfast at the Airbnb.

A huge thank-you to Milieu Director Tory Baulier for thoughtfully planning this incredible experience and creating so many opportunities for our students to try something new and make lasting memories. 🏔️

What a day at Wediko's 2026 Summer Carnival! 🎪

Carnival-style games, a dunk tank and an incredible lineup of treats were enjoyed by all—including cotton candy, snow cones, giant pretzels, fried dough and hand-pressed lemonade.🍋🍿

One of the highlights was an amazing green screen photobooth operated by Art Teacher Ms. Ellinwood and several art students. 🎨 The photography team snapped photos throughout the day with fun and creative, action-packed backgrounds—and even printed the photos on the spot!

Thanks to everyone who made the carnival such a memorable afternoon for our day program students, residential students and Camp Wediko campers. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate another beautiful summer and the community that makes Wediko such a special place. 💙

We are delighted to share that The Wediko School is in the process of building a beautiful new playground!

Promoting movement, problem-solving and persistence, this installation is an extension of Wediko’s therapeutic approach, creating opportunities for growth while serving as an engaging and fun focal point for all youth on campus. Each piece of equipment has been selected to expand the number of opportunities our students have to build confidence, experience safe challenges and achieve success.

While we await funding to complete the second phase of this project, the initial installation has already generated excitement among students and staff alike. We look forward to playing, learning and growing together between our new slide, swings, bars and beams!

Another school year is in the books and we have so many reasons to celebrate!🎓

Last weekend, we marked the end of a great year with our students and families, staff and community members at The Wediko School's 2026 Awards Ceremony. Each of our students received awards to mark their personal growth throughout the year, and we proudly recognized Wediko’s middle school and high school graduates who are preparing to step into their next chapter.

We were especially excited to celebrate our eight high school graduates—the largest graduating class we've had in years!

Congratulations, Class of 2026, and to all of our students who continue to learn and grow with us. 🎉

🍃WEDIKO'S ANNUAL ROADSIDE CLEAN-UP 👷‍♀️

Continuing our Earth Day tradition, students and staff from both our school and residential programs recently joined forces to pick up litter along the road that leads to campus. This is a day we look forward to every spring, as it gives us a chance to show appreciation for our local community and environment. An impressive 475 pounds of trash was collected, which included 12 tires pulled from a nearby stream! 🎉

This week, we recognized each group's phenomenal efforts with a series of awards, such as the “Detail Detectives Award” for the group that collected even the tiniest pieces of trash, “Most Pounds of Trash Collected,” and “Most Interesting Item Found."

Well done to everyone who contributed to another successful clean-up!

The Wediko School is making some Manhattan memories! 🗽

On April 18, students traveled to New York City for a full day of exploration and learning. The group began at the USS Intrepid, where they walked the decks of the historic aircraft carrier and stood beneath the Enterprise space shuttle, bringing lessons in aviation innovation to life. They then visited One World Trade Center, ascending to the top for sweeping views of the skyline and rivers. The day continued with a walk along Fifth Avenue, taking in iconic architecture and landmarks, before experiencing the excitement of Times Square.

This experience, fully supported by Wediko staff, reflects our school's commitment to providing enriching opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom and connect students to the world around them. 🏙️

We are so proud of the teamwork, energy and growth shown by The Wediko School Stars! This season, they have shared many moments on the court that have reflected resilience, sportsmanship and the strong bonds our students built these past few months.

The Stars have one more game after our February break before wrapping up the season with a highly anticipated staff vs. student showdown and a special team banquet. We can’t wait to celebrate these amazing student athletes and all they’ve accomplished! 👏
