Been looking for ways to get more involved in our local community, especially since we’ve really started to put down roots here in northern Colorado.
I’ve got an opportunity to do just that now as the volunteer director of marketing for
Health4Heroes’ mission is to empower veterans and first responders to take command of their health, reduce the impact of service, and increase longevity through community, connection, and education.
I’m looking forward to getting more veterans and first responders to take advantage of their FREE membership, establish more partnerships with local businesses to support the mission and our members, and to encourage volunteers to get involved with our events.

🚨 Monthly Challenge Alert 🚨
This isn’t just another “fitness challenge.”
This is about stepping back into that cadet mentality — discipline, grit, and relentless drive.
👉 For 30 days, you’ll reset your foundation:
• Lock in your habits.
• Rebuild strength and stamina.
• Sharpen your mindset.
The goal? To prove to yourself that you can lead from the front again.
And here’s the kicker: Finish strong and you can win your money back — either as a straight refund or applied toward long-term coaching to keep leveling up.
This isn’t about quick fixes. This is about becoming the person who sets the standard in their family, on their team, in their life (and doesn’t fall out of formation 🤣).
Are you ready to reclaim that fire?
Drop “RUCK ON” below 👇 and I’ll send you the details.

I’m excited to be joining the Your Thoughts Your Reality podcast tomorrow morning at 9:40am MT!
If you can catch it live, would love to see you, otherwise it’ll be available across all the podcast platforms afterward.
For those that are new or don’t know my story, I’ll be getting into the weeds a bit on my transition from the military to civilian life.
Spoilers, it wasn’t super great.
But my struggles led me to some realizations about how transition typically goes for veterans, and I’d like to challenge that narrative.
I’m also excited to share some of the tools and frameworks (such as fitness/hockey, Stoicism, the law of attraction), that have helped me through some of the lowest points of my post-military career.
Can’t wait to get into it tomorrow!

9 years 🤯 for as different as our tastes can be, one of the coolest things I find about our marriage is our mutual interest in Band of Brothers and how it’s become an annual ritual to binge the series around our anniversary/D-Day.
I think life can often feel like a battle, so it’s important to find a partner that will stick with you in the trenches. I consider myself lucky enough to have found one in you 💙 we’ve got each others’ six
Even more fitting that the “modern” gift of the 9th anniversary is leather for a few reasons. 1) the amount of leather articles used by the soldiers in WW2 (boots, sheathes, holsters, etc) and 2) the process of making leather itself - stripping down animal hide and immersing it in tannic acid to form the resilient material that is leather (there’s a reason we had to learn “the definition of leather” at West Point 😉)
And despite our best laid plans for this week, we’ve yet again had to fall back on another hallmark of our marriage, “improvise, adapt, and overcome” 💙
I love you 💙 happy anniversary 🥂

happy Mother’s Day 💙
When you first became a mother, I had hoped to plan this super elaborate, picture perfect Mother’s Days that you see in the ads.
Obviously, that’s become increasingly more challenging with four kiddos now, and I’m sure the days of celebrating like that will come. But right now, we’re in the trenches.
And that’s what’s so amazing about the mother you are - you’re an amazing mother in the trenches. You do so many things for our family, help create so many opportunities for our kids, and so much more, all with everything life has thrown our way.
Today, again, may have been another Mother’s Day in the trenches, but I hope you know just how much the Littles and I appreciate you every single day 💙

From the first Army/Navy hockey game to scoring a goal at MSG to finally beating Navy in 2016 in front of their fans on senior night, will always have my support during the 🏒

About a week ago, my family went to Disneyland and given my emphasis on health and fitness from a longevity perspective, it was pretty cool to see my Dad, who’s in his mid-50s, carry around a GR1 all 3 days but then also carry any one of his grandsons on his shoulders without fail.
All while averaging between 20-25K steps across 3 days.
Talk about grandpa goals 🤣
It’s particularly eye-opening considering that neither one of my grandfathers would’ve been able to do the same for me when I was that age. They weren’t in terrible shape, but definitely didn’t make the same choices my Dad has been for the last several years.
So again, it’s not so much about losing your health and fitness because you get older….its about getting older because you’re not prioritizing your health and fitness now.

People always ask me nowadays, what do I prefer - skating out or playing goalie?
Honestly, I love both. I just love being able to play hockey, and being able to do both allows me to play more of the game.
I’ve had the distinct privilege to play college hockey as both a player and as a goalie, which I don’t know how many people can say.
And they both still challenge me. I didn’t grow up playing goalie all the time so I’ve got so much more room to develop and grow despite the training I picked up here and there, and some natural athletic ability.
As a player, I grew into a grinder role and neglected my hands. Now since adult league is no-contact, I’ve had to become more reliant on my skill and hockey sense.
Any chance to get on the ice and play makes for a good day, and I’m grateful for it.
What would you rather play?
