A simple trip to the store is actually a masterclass in life skills! Our amazing students hit the aisles recently to put their classroom lessons into real-world practice.

It takes a lot of focus to complete a successful shopping trip, and our crew nailed it:

📝 Following the plan: Keeping track of their shopping lists.

🔍 The big hunt: Navigating the store layout to find specific items.

🗣️ Social skills: Interacting politely with store staff and practicing community safety.

💳 The grand finale: Making the final purchase and assisting with the transaction!

When our classrooms go shopping, they aren't just picking up items—they are building the foundations for a more independent future!

Field trips to the library are always a huge hit, but they’re also so much more than just picking out books! For our students, a trip to the local library is the perfect place to practice real-world community skills. 🎒

From using our quiet "inside voices" to navigating the aisles, making independent choices, and interacting with the wonderful librarians, our students did an absolutely awesome job!
