Madina Academy

Madina Academy This page is an official initiative headed by Madina Academy Alumni to keep the community updated on the Academy. We offer grades Kindergarten to 12th grade.

Madina Academy is an accredited private elementary, middle, and high school. We strive to develop a strong sense of Islamic identity, character, and pride in being American and Muslim. Madina Academy also aims to provide an ideal environment conducive to learning and helping students become active and responsible members of society. Established in 1998, Madina Academy is Connecticut's first full-time Islamic School. Madina Academy follows a high standard of education in all core subject areas including Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies and integrates this curriculum with Islamic studies courses. Classes for Arabic and Quran are held alongside core subjects that are taught in public school. Madina Academy also offers limited financial aid. Madina Academy is a not for profit organization and is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(03) public charity. The Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in its policies regarding enrollment, scholarships and/or allocation of financial aid.

🏆 *Madina Academy Students Shine at National History Day Nationals!*

We are incredibly proud of our students, who were among the 56 students selected to represent Connecticut at the 2026 National History Day National Contest this June.

Connecticut had an outstanding showing on the national stage, with students earning 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th place finishes, along with numerous Honorable Mentions and special awards. What an incredible achievement for our state!

Among those recognized were *Madina Academy’s Salma and Sohyla,* who received the *Outstanding Connecticut Award for the Junior Division* and earned *5th Place in the Junior Group Website category.*

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to every Connecticut student who represented our state at Nationals. Simply qualifying for the National History Day Contest is an extraordinary accomplishment, and we are proud to celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and excellence demonstrated by all of Team Connecticut.
