Gather sticks on a nature hunt and have a go at their threading activity.

When you’re finished you can add balls of clay to the end of the sticks to keep the beads in place or carefully transport as they are.

Leave the clay to air dry. 🥰✨

Per Diem Adventure Assistant

Overview
Footprints Family Childcare is seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic Part-Time Assistant to support adventures at our Forest school program. This position is ideal for seasoned babysitters and/or college students pursuing education, child development, social work, and any related fields, or homeschool Mums (or teens!) looking to supplement routine with novel structure.
The applicant will assist the care provider with daily forest classroom activities, supervision, and care of children in a safe, structured, and engaging outdoor environment.
This is a Per Diem/Contract role. Hours are not guaranteed and subject to weather conditions.

Duties
• Assist the team with outdoor classroom activities
• Supervise children during play, meals, and nature walks on the trail
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized forest classroom which includes but is not limited to; raking the classroom area, removing potential play hazards, replacing nature elements, and rubbish removal.
• Support age-appropriate learning through play and interaction
• Assist with diapering, toileting, and handwashing as needed (indoors)
• Follow all safety, health, and licensing regulations
• Communicate respectfully with staff and families

Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Experience in early childhood education or child development
• Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Must be able to pass background check CORI
• Must become EEC licensed assistant. CPR/First Aid certification a plus (Footprints will pay for and facilitate certifications)
This role can transition into a summer camp assistant position. (Seasonal)
