HOW I USED TO BELIEVE MONEY WAS.⠀
⠀
We all have a relationship with money, mine wasn't the best a few years back.⠀
⠀
Money use to be something I could never hold on to. Like a rare majestic artifact that as soon as I touched it, it disappeared.⠀
⠀
I thought I was making good money but I had no money in my savings, I was living work day to work day (I was renting a chair), I had no idea what I was making per day or per client, I wasn't budgeting on my spending and I wasn't tracking my overhead costs and I was trying to keep up with others.⠀
⠀
I was cash rich but credit poor (and by credit im not speaking about debt, but about having a positive balance amount in my credit accounts) and comparing what I had to what others had.⠀
⠀
When I stopped looking at money object of desire and started looking at it as fuel I was able to reach my goals quickly. ⠀
⠀
Now if money isn't an object of desire but rather a tool used as fuel I can use the fuel to reach goals I have set for myself.⠀
⠀
My amount of fuel isn’t the same as someone else’s, and just because someone looks to have more fuel doesn’t necessarily mean they have more fuel.... ⠀
⠀
Today, I can tell how much money I spend on ordering, what my payroll costs are, how much tax and shipping I pay ordering with specific brands, how much it cost to keep my doors open each month, I can tell you how much a make per day and per client, I now save, invest and learn about money oppose to spending it. ⠀
⠀
Money isn’t about having what others have, money to me is about having a fuel to keep me propelling forward. I now have a savings account, I have a retirement fund, I made more money this year in a pandemic than I have ever before, and I can say I continue to grow my money to know I will keep propelling forward. It’s no longer about the amount I can make it’s about the growth I can continuously make. ⠀
