This past week, Windam Woods students embarked on the maiden voyage of the Upper School rafting adventure camp! Huge shout out to Three Rivers Whitewater for giving us the adventure of a lifetime. Students showed bravery, compassion, and confidence throughout the week as they climbed high in the trees, slept out under the stars of rural Maine, and rafted through Class IV rapids!

Windham Woods summer adventure programs began last week with our Middle/Upper School Adventurer and Explorers program! Students had a blast building collaboration skills at the ropes course, testing their communication skills in team challenges, and creating memories at the petting farm and Bear Brook State Park.

WWS Summer Program afternoons have been filled with team games, culinary adventures, artistic endeavors, and nail-biter street hockey games! Here are some of the beautiful rocks made by students and our delicious campfire-smoked Rice Krispy treats!

Our Elementary Summer Program is off to a great start! Students are participating in summer-themed academic review classes in the morning before heading to their afternoon camp-style activities. Some lessons this week included using water squirters to spell paragraph transition words, throwing earth-friendly paintballs at math fact answers, and writing silly sentences about 4th of July camping.
