🥚🚀 Egg-cellent engineering in action!

Our Fifth Grade Lakers put their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to the test during the Egg Drop Challenge!

Using everyday materials like straws, paper, tape, cotton balls, and balloons, students designed and built protective containers with one mission: keep their eggs from cracking when dropped from the second floor of the Cypress Center for the Arts!

Through this hands-on science challenge, students explored concepts like gravity, force, air resistance, and momentum while learning the importance of teamwork, innovation, and trial and error.

WPS Model UN is starting the competition season strong! 🌎🏆

Our Model United Nations team recently traveled to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Model United Nations Conference, where 10 of our high school Lakers put their diplomacy, research, public speaking, and critical-thinking skills to the test across a variety of committees.

👏 A special congratulations to Addyson Pollzzie '27, who received a Verbal Commendation for her work on the French Revolution Crisis Committee, and Nathan Rahter '27, who earned an Outstanding Delegate Award for his work on the International Court of Justice Committee!

We’re proud of all our Lakers for representing WPS so well and look forward to seeing them back in action at Columbia University in New York City this January! 🗽

Six delegates. One exciting opportunity. A region coming together to make a difference! 🌎

On Friday, six of our 5th and 6th grade Lakers took part in the first Nord Anglia Education North America Jr. Social Impact Summit. Students heard from Jack Davies, Senior Program Manager for World's Largest Lesson, and collaborated with Nord Anglia peers from across the region to create activities for World Children’s Day.

Josh Goldberg '27, Amanda Fuenmayor '27, and Shaan Guru '27, three members of the NAE Global 100, also stopped by in the afternoon to lend a hand with the planning.

We’re so proud to see our Lakers learn and lead, while using their skills for positive change! 💙

: Our 5th grade students put service into action by packing sandwiches for Matthew's Hope, Orange County, a local nonprofit that supports individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.

Through this hands-on service project, our Lakers helped support Matthew’s Hope in its mission to provide basic needs, build skills, and help individuals move toward greater independence and self-sustainability. 💙

The curtain goes up tonight on Windermere Prep High School’s production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”! 🐝🎭

✈️ Flat Butler is going places!

This year, our favorite Laker is hitting the road with members of our Admissions and Residential Life teams as they travel across the U.S. and around the world to connect with prospective families, current WPS families, schools, and educational partners. 🌎

For his first adventure, Flat Butler traveled to New England and Bermuda!

In New England, Boarding Admissions Manager Amy DeBakey traveled alongside Maury Mourning, Boarding Admissions Manager at The Village School, visiting schools throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts. Their stops included Rectory School, Rumsey Hall School, The Fessenden School, Fay School - Southborough, MA, and Hillside School, building relationships and sharing more about the boarding experience at Windermere Prep.

Meanwhile, Assistant Director of Residential Life Ashley Barnes brought Flat Butler along to Bermuda for the Bermuda Boarding School Fair hosted by Schools to Know, where she met with prospective families interested in boarding in Orlando and connected with members of our current WPS community including the Robinson Family (pictured here). 💙

And this is only the beginning! Follow along each month as Flat Butler joins our team on the road, bringing a little Laker spirit wherever WPS goes next.
