🎄2026 Community Christmas Applications Are OPEN! 🎄

The holiday season is just around the corner, and Barrow County Community Christmas is officially getting started! ❤️

Community Christmas is a volunteer-led effort bringing together local schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits, and community members to make sure children in Barrow County experience a little extra Christmas joy. 🎁

🌟 How does Community Christmas work?
Families apply and go through an application process to qualify for assistance. Many families are then “adopted” by generous sponsors who provide Christmas gifts for their children.
Families who are not adopted are invited to shop at our Community Christmas Store, which is stocked with donated and purchased toys, giving parents the opportunity to choose gifts specifically for their children.

🎁 Want to adopt a family or help sponsor Community Christmas financially?
We can’t do this work without partners, and we’d love to have you be part of it! Find more information on our website at or email [email protected].

Have you noticed back-to-school feels... different?

Maybe you're a student who still feels anxious walking through the doors.

Maybe you're a parent whose heart races a little every time your child leaves for school.

Maybe you're an educator who has spent so much time caring for everyone else that you haven't had the opportunity to process your own emotions.

If you or your family have been impacted by the Apalachee tragedy, please know these feelings are normal, and you don't have to carry them alone.

Healing Through Music is a free weekly group created for those affected by Apalachee. Through music, rhythm, songwriting, listening, and other creative techniques, participants will learn healthy ways to process emotions, reduce stress, and build resilience in a safe, welcoming environment.

No musical experience is required.
No pressure to perform.
Just a place to take one step toward healing together.

We'd be honored to walk alongside you.

🍎 JUNE FOOD DISTRIBUTION NEXT WEEK🍞

We are back at it, serving families in our community through our upcoming food distribution at White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church.

📅 Wednesday, June 3, 2026
🕙 10:00 A.M.
📍 White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church
123 E. New Street • Winder, GA 30680

Last month, because of the generosity of our community and volunteers, we were able to support 441 individuals facing food insecurity across our area.

Every meal distributed helps us continue the mission and vision of our founder, serving others with compassion, dignity, and hope.

☀️ Families with children home for the summer may also qualify for additional food support through the GNAP Summer Program.

❤️ Hope starts with sharing. Please help us share this post to reach families who may need support.
