On behalf of all the Newcomer Academy teachers, Mrs. Wilson had the privilege of presenting Santiago with his Honor Cord at the Apalachee High School Honors Night. Santiago has worked hard and remained remained positive since arriving to the United States from Venezuela. He is a fantastic example of what is possible with hard work and determination! 💙📚Friday was a wonderful day for Newcomers!

With the help of a generous grant from Zaxby’s, we delivered Literacy Bags to every elementary newcomer student across our county. Each bag was filled with books, learning materials, and—most importantly—hope and encouragement for these incredible kids as they build their new lives here.

Seeing their smiles and excitement was a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness can open big doors.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality. More pics to come! 💙🙏🏽
