Light Up Night at Windber Rec – Coming Soon!
Windber is transforming into WHOVILLE!

Dear Windber Families,

Mark your calendars — Friday, December 6th is just a little over a week and a half away, and Windber Recreation Park will soon be transforming into Whoville! Our students, staff, and community elves are already hard at work bringing this magical event to life, and everything is shaping up to be absolutely Who-tastic.

Join us for an evening filled with holiday magic, including:

🍪 Cookies
☕ Hot Cocoa
🎨 Crafts for all ages
🚂 A mini train ride for our youngest guests
🌲 Lighting of the community Christmas tree
🚌 Bus rides around the park to explore incredible Whoville-themed displays created by our talented students and staff
🎅 Pictures with Santa

And don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled… 👀
Some mischievous elves — and even The Grinch himself — will be wandering around causing holiday mischief! 💚🎄

This magical celebration brings our entire community together, and we cannot wait to share it with all of you.

Dear Windber Families,

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday evening for our 2nd Annual Haunted Harvest at Windber Recreation Park — a night full of free family fun, Trunk-or-Treating, and a few friendly frights!

As part of this year’s event, we’re proud to support two wonderful community causes:
The U.S. Marines will be on-site collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots Drive, helping bring joy to children in need this holiday season.
Our Windber High School students will also be collecting non-perishable food items as part of their ongoing school-wide food drive to support local families.

We completely understand that not everyone attending may be able or interested in contributing to these efforts, and we want to express our heartfelt thanks to those who are able to do so. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and helps spread kindness throughout our community.

We can’t wait to see you all on Saturday night for a spooktacular evening filled with fun, family, and community spirit!
